you would think that Forbes Japan would advertise this in general terms, but there is nothing on their webpage about anything with Yuki Ishikawa with marketability.

There will be other lists coming this December including Nikkei and Yomiuri. It shouldn't be a surprise since they've been releasing these rankings and polls during Paris Olympics and only Yuki is part of it. No Ran. No Koga. No Nishida. Saori's earnings are also publicized through her agency.

Kano is more of an influencer. Saori herself is a brand.
Kano also lacks any merits/achievements to her name other than being an extra during London but hey she got a medal and more.

She does get a lot of exposure because she's a sportscaster but Kano's rating would only be at a 10-15% and to a limited audience compared to Saori's 50-70% and shown nationwide type of deals. Kano does a lot of minor stuff, most of which are only available online. She's that player that shows get to talk about Saori and other volleyball legends and not about herself.

Ishikawa far exceeds Saori in accomplishments and he's already overtaken Saori in setting the bar for allrounders. Both are legends in their own right. We should accept that the men's team have revolutionized Japanese volleyball and Ishikawa is at the forefront.

VBW used Sarina Nishida in their roster list which I don't understand since they also listed Erika Araki as Erika Shinomiya and they put a different surname for Yamagishi that was confusing
