Is Yao Di in Tianjin this season?
I think she's still listed as a player there. Lately she's been seen promoting tournaments (eg. Eastern Zonal C'ships) and visiting schools and colleges in Hong Kong and other cities in China. I'm not sure if she'll play when the league starts in around a week's time

Li Ying-ying is the captain of Tianjin VC in Season 24/25, so Yao Di might be the substitute setter this season.

The junior clubs of Top 8 won't participate in Stage 1. They will join the league in Stage 2.

I don't understand. It looks all top teams are in Group A and weaker in Group B. How is the formula for reg. season and play off this season? What does it mean that junior teams will join the league?

In fact, I am also hard to translate the rules but if you could know the image, you will know the rule:
It looks like a two tier league, A and B. After that the two lowest ranked teams in A will play the top two in B (for promotion).
After this, the 8 teams will be divided into C and D. The 2 top ranked teams in C,D ➡️ E (4 teams) while the bottom 2 ➡️ F (4 teams).
E teams will proceed to the SF and Gold medal match, and F teams (5-8 placings)
In addition, there is a "sub competition"... the 7 teams from B league will play teams from youth league (青) to form sub groups E, F, G, H, I, J leading to the positions 1 to 8 (some details left out)
That's way I see it, looking at the diagram
The live streaming of the charity match between Tianjin and Shenzhen was the best I've seen so far.... hopefully the streaming for the league matches will be just as good

So, if I understood correctly, a team could be champion and still be relagated? Is that correct? Cause they could end up being A7, play the promotion match and loose, but still play the playoffs, end first in group D in second stage and advance for the finals? Or will the teams playing second stage the ones that win the promotion match? But in that case the team that lost would play their youth team later, its a bit confusing...

If team of Pool A will loose qualification match vs team of pool B it will play against is youth team later.

Got it. It got confusing cause they still called A7 and A8 in the second stage, but this makes more sense, even though them might meeting their youth team later doesnt, specially if younger players can play both teams, but I guess there is a very small chance of that happening. Thank you
