Also announced: the final farewell games before Paris will be vs. Switzerland. On the 20th, Grothues - de Kruijf - Schoot - Beliën will (finally) get the honours they deserve
On the 21st there will be a goodbye moment for the team as well as the beach teams heading to OG -
How is Schoot doing? I didn't hear anything about her battle against cancer lately. I wish her to heal completely ASAP.

She has had the surgery and seems to be doing quite well! She's back in physical training and also back to work and meeting people (which she didn't do for a while bc of her immune system). I guess it's still a long journey to full recovery but seeing her even do trainings in between chemos to go in as fit as possible, shows how determined and a fighter she is

Although I wouldn't be shocked if this were true, nothing is confirmed yet. Yesterday the TeamNL outfits were presented and all 15 players were there, Dijkema even represented the team on the catwalk as captain. I don't know when the deadline is to submit squad list, but I can imagine them still travelling to USA with everyone and then announce the squad as late as possible.

Exactly, Dambrink was the most consistent/least error-prone so she deserve to make it although I really cannot predict what's going on in Felix' mind at times
the only ones locked for me as 110% sure are MBs (duh), Marrit and Nika if she's at least 95% healthy.I kinda wish that the three cut could be the ones from OG2016, so that everyone gets to experience Olympic magic, but that's not possible with both Anne & Celeste being cut in favour of Kirsten. So just praying that Knip will at least make 13th player now

Good decision to add Dijkema to the coaching staff, because her contribution off-court is more valuable than on-court. Poor Kirsten though, I really wish she could get to join as well - especially since Marring can only improve her level and will surely be there for a possible LA2028...
