Turkey - Vodafone Sultanlar Ligi 2024-2025

  • KVR was good at THY, what happened to her i dont understand.

  • Markova is a godess. People are use to say that in order to compete for the trophies top clubs definitely need a top OPP. Markova is not an OPP but definitely belong in this list because she can carry team and lead her to victory.

Guidetti made mistakes yesterday. Vakif needed desperately better reception and defence yesterday. Bosetti had to play. In addition Kiera was terrible. She had 16 points with 12 errors. She literally played for Ecza. Markova is capable of carrying a team but yesterday had not even a decent support from her team.

In th OH pool Frantti was a big surprise. I think that after that match Guidetti will use her as starter.

About Ecza really I do not know what to say about Plummer.... She is like a ghost... There is no reason to use her when she plays like this.

I believe that semi finals of TL will be different and I believe that Vakif will prevail at the end.

Kvr was playing since the start of the league.. i think she is just tired. Also ecz is aware vakifbank doesn't have a replacement for kvr so they made sure they will limit her scoring and they succeeded. Markova was just amazing as always! Frantti is not a big surprise, lol she was their starter last season. I think it's because of the foreign limit and they need someone to subin for kvr for time to time. Vakifbank will have to work on a plan in case kvr didn't workout in sf lol. Btw i love serves.

KVR faced Plummer, Stevanovic, Boskovic trio of blockers OOS and Plummer + Stevanovic in system. She forced sharp angles because of the huge block in front of her. Eczacibasi was well prepared for her.

  • Last time she blocked Vargas 4 times so they will rely on her blocking skills to stop Vargas too. However, I don't see her contributing to the team in attack or receive. Elif doesn't set her pipe at all, maybe they should try that too.

All problems start with passing. They need a Castillo level libero to play Plummer and Yaprak together, otherwise it will be like this over and over. They can't run the middles at all and most of the sets for OHs are OOS. Plummer is loaded quite a lot OOS and it makes her game hit or miss; make her spike more in system and her stats would look better. Same goes for Yaprak, but she is an undersize and fast player, so she can have easier approach to compensate the bad sets. I had a feeling they had better options in attack while in transition.

This doesn't make sense AT ALL! It is WAY easier to kill an oos for a 2meter player compared to undersized player like yaprak. Plummer could jump without having the proper approach to kill a ball thanks to her height while short player's power all depends on their perfect timing, optimum stepping approach etc which they can't with a OOS ball. To be honest, sometimes you make very weird comments just to justify bad performance of your favourite players , in a way not very different than crovolley who you despise.

I hate to be at the same side of Crovolley but Plummer is just a huge disappointment this season, without any excuse to justify her terrible performance

I avoided saying this, for the same reasons, but agree from word to word. I think everyone on this forum is biased towards their favorites, but we shouldn't go far as that to try to made undersized wing players as superior regarding OOS, and there is no room for spin, it is pure delusional thing.

It's pretty common for fast players being able to compensate the bad located or OOS sets just because of their fast steps. This is a fact. If they didn't teach you this while going to volleyball school, I can totally get why Turkey imports any average italian trainer instead of investing on a local one.

It has nothing to do with Plummer or Yaprak.

And I wasn't praising anyone. Believe what you want. I'm not happy with Plummer's current level as well. She’s still far from her best. But I'm also sure Eczacibasi has no clue how to make her play her top game. Gennari for example didn't have great passing stats last season, but at least she was able to give her a break from receiving 40 services any game. This is where Eczacibasi is totally lacking this season. There is no one actually able to do that job. Hande goes on court and gets aced multiple times. Gray... :gone:

  • Plummer played 2 good sets and FB defense are solved, its the key i think
