Their back up opposites werent even recruited by korean league lol. There is no point bringing one of them to fill the roster. If something happens to Matt, they will play russell-tj-jaeschke.

US youngest player is Maa at 27 (this year). This is giving 2008 roster all over again.

They shouldve at least brought a single opp or another libero. Middles aren't that impactful.

Its unfortunate that Gabi Garcia did not have a good season.

a really bad pool for Brazil. Pool A and C are balanced so maybe there will be more tie breaks or even no undefeated winner

I really hate this 3 pools of 4 teams. 2 pools of 6 was such a fair system.

Group B is the pool of death. One of the Poland/Brazil/Italy may be at risk of not making the QF if they have some 3:2 win/loss to each other thus failing to clinch the 2nd best 3rd place.

Seems like Group B is the strongest hard to predict stangings except 4th place sorry Egypt

So in OG we will have battle Poland vs Brazil both men and women

actually losing points to each other it’s the way to all 3 qualify to QF.

I think it's good group for all except Egypt. Winning by 3 pts could be enough to be in QF. Other groups are more balanced so hard to get points.

There's this old domino factor in the OGs: Italy can't beat Brazil, Brazil can't beat USA, USA can't beat Italy.

I knew Bruninho and co. would win the gold medal in Rio just because Italy met USA in SFs.
