With all that money they could have made elite team that would easily go top 3 in Turkish league anyways and get CL tickets normal way. Plus actually win some throphy first in CEV cup.
Conegliano was really something else this season. Above all teams.

IMO CEV cup and CL winners should be awarded with spots in next CL.
I’m going to repeat myself and I stand super strong behind this. Imoco Conegliano this season created THE BEST ever team in history of volleyball. None can’t match with them. Especially with golden trio Gabi/Zhu/Haak with amazing addition as De Gennaro, Wolosz and Fahr.

There's no sporting or economic motivation that can justify something like this...
Here it's all about the ego and the desire to be the star of someone who wants to show that with money he can do what he wants and the CEV, by supporting this kind of behavior, is humiliating this sport...

Mustafa Yigit Zeren is really shady charachter. I read things about his group's climb and I understood many many things and consequently any other type of consideration about Zeren Volleyball club is superfluos... He can also set up the Real Madrid of volleyball and win more title than Conegliano but for me every eventual title they win Will be worth Nothing. Zero . Period
The only and more important consideration is the fact that a wild card was sold to such a charachter is a shame for CEV and is finally proof ( for my Italian friend ) that this sport is exactly, if not worse, than the others.

No, Zhu and Gabi OH duo have way better impact in attack and Wolosz had and will have more options in attack with them. Before it was 70% sets to Egonu.

Eeek, gabi/mbh/haak/karakurt/maja(vakifbank) was not able to beat conegliano with egonu/hill/sylla/wolosz++MB.
