Why are they communicating these things so early??
That's inofficial from a Stuttgarter newspaper so far.

Stuttgart has signed Eleanor Holthaus (USA) from Potsdam for next season, it seems (not yet confirmed: not annoying Potsdam?).
Really annoying for Potsdam as they always find good players but can never keep them.

It's all about budgets and also attractiveness by competitions participatoin (i.e. European Cups) and chances in them: the better financed clubs like Schwerin and Stuttgart are naturally preying on the roasters of less well financed clubs.
Amazing performance by Sabrina Starks against Aachen with 13/15 att plus 6 blocks Koulberg with 6 blocks as well, so despite very little contribution from the OHs (Holthaus still absent) Potsdam managed to win in Aachen.
Jette Kuipers suffered an ankle injury against Münster, hope it's not too serious because she has been really important for Suhl this season. IMO she deserves a call to Dutch NT this year.

Not for the first time: I think Starks can get offers by Schwerin and Stuttgart.

I'm surprised by Starks' development. She wasn't a full time starter in Pittsburgh. She was awful in Porto Rico. And now she's a consistent player in Bundesliga.

With the same level she has now, a few years ago she could have played for a team fighting for 6th-8th place and nowadays she's among the best middles of the league

With the level she had in PR she could play in 2. Bundesliga Pro at best.

One of the major downgrades of Stuttgart was at the blockers indeed, a key factor for the loss in Suhl at last match there.
Tomorrow's Stuttgarter Zeitung will contain an interview with Konstantin Bitter.
This season only 4 players stayed in Stuttgart, it will be more next season, but the club will lose players (plural) that have been with the club for years. The interviewer mentions Segura and Rivers (Bitter does not disagree with this statement) and asks about Koskelo. According to Bitter it will depend on her health if she stays, she has knee issues.
Stuttgart hopes that they can develop Slacanin and Steinhilber themselves within the next 2-3 seasons.

Two setters will stay, and I think Varela will?
Jette Kuipers will be missing for Suhl for several weeks due to torn ankle ligaments.
ETV Hamburg, currently 9th ranked in 2nd league Pro, will play in 1st league next season. Probably a few other teams will also go up, similar to what men's league already did. So the league will have more teams but an ever lower level probably...

How is that supposed to work with a target mini budget of €200,000, average home spectators of 300 and 5 days of training a week?
Apart from Hamburg the candidate teams are:
Skurios Volleys Borken (near Münster and very close to the border to NL, Grimma Volleys (near Leipzig) Binder Blaubären TSV Flacht (near Stuttgart)
https://www.ndr.de/sport/mehr_…ie-Bundesliga,etv222.html
The capacity of the halls at these sites is
400/2300 Hamburg (two available sites)
1042 Borken
950 Grimma
450 Flacht
200.000€ was reported for Flacht as well as a possible budget
I was hoping Vilsbiburg might return to 1st league, at least they have the infrastructure and the tradition, but looks like there is no mention of that possibility?

Erfurt has bigger budget but situation with training is the same. No morning just evenings and they have not so long on the evenings. Suhl have the same issue then is question how they can transfer better players.
In general I think is nice that they want go up but the level of the league will crash in my opinion.

Possible Budget for real amateurs without any salary, thats true. But how are the players expected to live, if they train five days a week and have a match at the weekend?
IMHO even with a group from second pro no one should try first league with less than 400,000 Euro. Even the best second pro teams have more than 200,000 Euro budget now.

I think, Vilsbiburg will only return with higher budget, to be a clear playoff candidate. They don't want to be a second class team in first league - this was also the reason, they went down by will into second league pro, where they are now fighting only with Borken for the championship.
Antonia Stautz will stay in Stuttgart for next season. So three OHs are already clear for them with Stautz, Holthaus and Julia De Paula (unless they loan her again).
