USA - LOVB 2025 (League One Volleyball 2025)

  • I'm good with the MB's and OH's from team one but as someone who likes Lexi she does not belong on the first or second team. Kojima, Panoy & JWO robbed fr. But sadly this doesn't surprise me. Hope the LOVB Finals pick a true Seven Player Dream team.

  • Kojima representing all the internationals, love it  would have switched her and Fairbanks into first team for sure; maybe Jimerson as well but Ogbogu and Igiede also make sense

I think Fairbank's injuries kept her off. She didn't play near as much as the others.

I would've moved JT into first team.

Roni and Franklin should've been second team. Larson/Chaussee does not move me lol

  • Wait so actually they announced percentages as well lol

Or make a distinction between fan favourites and actual dream team based on performance (which is the 50% by coaches/athletes). Even if Lexi got many fan votes - which I can understand - there's no way coaches or athletes should have chosen her over JWO, Kojima, Pannoy or even Pogany :white:

Interesting. I also agree w u. Clearly the purpose of was to create a form of community engagement, but it shouldn't be the deciding dream team...There should be one for fans then one acc end of regular season dream team (Sorry "Icons"), based off stats, performances etc.

I think they did their math wrong lmfao

The only way Lexi overcomes the 50% of coaches/athletes (assuming a insignificant amount of votes)

    is with this formula

((21%*74,000)*50%)+(25%*number of coach votes)+(25%*number of athlete votes)

However, they should be using this formula, which uses the percentages. (the 21% representing the fan vote)

    (21%*50%)+(% of coaches vote*25%)+(% of athletes vote*25%)

  • My picks:

    Carlini / Fairbanks

    Drews / Thompson

    Robinson + Mruzik / Geerties + Kingdon

Jimerson + Ogbogu / Igiede + McCage or Bia

    Kojima / Pannoy

Carlini is leader in assists and among the best defenders. Fairbanks played great for a rookie.

Drews changed the faith of Madison once recovered from her injury and is having the biggest impact among the opposites. Thompson has been quite consistent and she is the best scorer of the league.

Robinson is by far the MVP of the league and her stats are outstanding. Mruzik is playing like a veteran and never disappoints with her all-around skills.

Geerties is one of the best receivers of the league. Kingdon is playing a great tournament despite other players of her team have alll the spotlights on.

For the middle blockers I would pick the most consistent blockers.

The two foreign liberos are amazing and better than the others

  • I just saw that Anna Hall was still playing last weekend, I thought she was expecting a baby? :what: Is it normal/healthy to play so far into pregnancy?

she said the doctors said she can finish the season (this week).

I dont think she's any farther along than Kerri Walsh was during whichever Olympics she was pregnant.
