uh oh (kind of weird after they carry Yukiko off to a wheelchair they play "Highway to the Danger Zone")
lol
-
even if kaneda's attacks are mid, i still love watching her play esp her floor defence
if we cant have Saiki can we have Kaneda for NT?
just test it out, see what happens much better option than Tanaka or someone else pls Yoshihara lol -
Astemo Rivale new players. 1 from University and 2 from High School
- Mion Hirose (OH, NSSU)
- Kaera Chuganji (MB, Higashi Kyushu) — older sister of Rion
- Niji Sato (MB, Koriyama HS) —182cm MB of U18 roster
-
we got stuff going on at work this week, I’ll put the position movement up this weekend.

just test it out, see what happens much better option than Tanaka or someone else pls Yoshihara lolI'm glad she's finally, mostly, returned to form but her last call to the NT seemed to wreck her. Took her about a year to recover (I'd say the same thing happened to Yoshino Sato)
Of course I can't say that's what happened, for sure, but I wouldn't be surprised. I don't think Shuka's cut out for NT. Why she was never called when she was peaking (the year they played JT in the Final) I'll never understand -

IKR her reception rate has been at a solid >60% since ‘19-‘20. Now, it’s just around 43.6% but it’s still great considering the top receivers currently only have ~40% reception rate which is weird
Well, I guess it’s because she doesn’t do pipe attacks. Okayama’s system seems pretty old/traditional/conservative, making it harder for their players to fit with “modern” volleyball. Something’s also different about their form and technique, especially their setters. I had a feeling that Ferhat Akbas didn’t like Miyashita because of this.

How is it that NEC lost with Tsukuba in Emperor Cup? Did they play with 1st team?

No. All the players who will be going to China for Club World Championship are not in the roster.
Here's their full roster for Empress Cup (9 players)
OH: Furuya, Tanaka, Yamauchi
OP: Harashima
MB: Ito, Nojima
S: Sawada, Hosokawa
L: Fujii
NEC divided their team into two. The 12 players not here will be the Club Worlds lineup.

I'm bothered by receptiongate
she doesn’t do pipe attacks
yeah, and never developed a serve, another Okayama thing

I gave up on the stats. Everything looks off. Budget cuts probably
Clubs should do their own and post it on their site

and they've had 2 or 3 matches where one team got an extra free point, and a few matches where the attendances count was corrected later

nec rockets is by far the worse japanese team ive ever seen. they reminded me of 2018 kazakhstan's altay club. ajcharaporn needs to get out of there. not a good look for this newly upgraded vbtv streamed league.

Welcome to the forum Hyperbole much?
There's a reasonable point to be made there but if NEC "is by far the worse japanese team" you've ever seen, you obviously haven't watched any of the "newly upgraded vbtv streamed league"
I agree ajcharaporn needs to get out of there but, I think, for reasons quite different from yours. But then again, you're clearly not watching much

Sato's favorite player is Gabi and as expected she got pretty spicy in that Imoco match but still very mid at 10+pts. I no longer mind her though. She's moldable.
NEC has some major serving issues. What's with Yamada going dead since Praia? and their libero is god awful. I don't think any of them except Sato should return to the NT.

Offense is not her forte. I agree that she didn't completely tank it but she's still sloppy. She's not dynamic enough to be considered "spicy" imo.
I kind of like that she was somewhat unphased and just smiles it off but then I remember there was an Italian fan here steven1234323412312 who severely criticized Egonu for laughing when she made errors and I pointed out were they expecting her to lash out smh. But I still prefer Koga's unphased attitude than what Kurogo showed in the past.
Moldable is something that applies to practically all players. I still don't see anything special in Sato other than having determination to surpass Koga according to her.

It's her first full season and she did what she could do. We should also take into consideration the setter, the libero and Yamada were all bad. I don't have enough energy to argue with you since I don't even like Sato but at least she didn't disappoint like Yamada who was npc unbelievable did the allstar votes get to her head. I would drop her completely from the nt just so she'd be motivated again.

i think nurik meant in the history of club championship and i agree with that. in the past hisamitsu never got an egg against other teams. i dont know with jt but they were already having a mediocre season when they skipped the club championship last time due to covid.

suntory sunbirds won bronze last year at the club world championship. the women can't even make it past the prelims. that's a huge dip. what next? the women's team don't qualify for la

Tiebreak ongoing at Empress Cup Finals. Not really a fan of either teams but after the first two sets earlier, I did not expect this will even reach a tie break.
