Japan - SV.League Women 2024-2025

I can remember during the 2010 World Champs that Ai was playing and that NTV would show her daughter during matches. Which of course was a big thing in Japan with gender roles, and mom's staying home to take care of the kids.
Here is one of those shots found today on Youtube.
Ai had a ton of difficulties to reach her success. She is just a proud mom now, watching her daughter win a title, yes taking down Seitoku.
Given that Erika, Saori and Kana, all national team teammates have their own kids, that generation with their success and also being great moms, are trying to show the way. You can be a great player and a great mom, who also develops great players. -
I haven't burned through this in a complete way. It's 1:04 minutes long so it can't be the whole match, but it's a lot. I think they mostly skipped through set 2

How is SV.League being ranked this season? Wins->Points->etc or Wins->Win Ratio->etc
I had a link to the Announcement but stupid fuckers JVL broke it and I can't just "find" it on the site now

Victorina Himeji got Miku Akimoto!
They also signed Kawamata (OP, 183cm) and Yada (MB, 186cm).

Ooh I see so she’s taken the OPP path
Edit: Oh wait it says there she’s an OH?!

Winning percentage, then points, sets ratio, points ratio
If tied on all that, then just between the two teams (head-to-head) on the same things
hence my position movement chart is in that order. -
I will not say that Himeji will win the title this year.
I will say that their gym will be really competitive next year.
They are pretty much the new money version of Okayama, but with better coaching and a ton more cash.
Okayama still keeps getting those Osaka International HS kids on the cheap.
Akimoto going there does not really surprise me because of the family connections to Takeshita as the special advisor, let alone the Morinaga dreams stuff her mom did with the tie in to Himeji.

new money version of Okayama
lol
better coaching, more cash, and training sessions on how to walk in high heels
I just hope this helps end indentured servitude to tobacco and drug companies

This is rough trans but LOL
Denso's libero and captain Haruna Kawabata "I think they voted me captain because nothing makes me laugh"
To be fair her serve receive % is no laughing matter

To be fair her serve receive % is no laughing matter
she's bound to get that shinnabe award this season
-
Sakae just waved her ring finger at the ball as it went past
Such a cool move they showed it in close up
-
Hayashi and Tanaka against Kurobe. Osaka doesn't want any surprises
-
This Osaka/Kurobe match has had a jumpy little soundtrack that sounds more Kurobe than Osaka to me (except Kurobe home games always play that one hoedown merry-go-round song over and over)
-
Kurobe hangin pretty tight with Osaka. 1-1 So cool. Love the Maddie moments
and like the new libero #17 Ayami Urayama, one of the Artemis quitters. Haven't decided if she's any good yet. just like her for the other stuff
Oh, and Rino Furuichi
Glad she's played her way into the lineup.

Astemo Rivale Ibaraki should win every match they play. They are so good. But I got two words for why "Top Scorer" is a misleading statistic: Mac May
