Japan - SV.League Women 2024-2025

  • Niida should just transfer. She might not ever get that chance since Kurogo isn't going anywhere for sure

  • From the sucky translation I got. it looks like Breath Hamamatsu was denied an SV license again. They need more funds. I don't know where their venue is but that could also be another factor since SVL updated the venue/home game requirements.

I was very disappointed by that news. I thought they were playing their cards right (and had a good hand) when Motoko Obayashi did the Sports Director thing for them ... but it only lasted one year. They have a solid team, two deep at every position. Oh well

They are down on the coast, SE of Toyota (Aichi) in Shizuoka Prefecture, which you don't hear much about. Kind of between Aichi and Tokyo.

I was watching their attendances, and they are on par, even outdoing some SV Teams. A little under 1,000 average, and topping 2,000 when they played Sendai. I bet they get 2,000 this last weekend against Brilliant Aries

  • This is off topic but I don't care. I love these girls, Noa Kinugasa and Mayu Kikuchi, but nikkansports is getting creepy with them. For the last couple months, like every other day, they post an "article" about one or the other of them with headlines like "Watch my Butt Shake but Don't Sexualize Me" and steal the same bikini photos from their IGs

Their SF match with Kyoei Gakuen against Furukawa was one of the most exciting HS matches I ever lived through. Then the two of them went on to put Meikai University on the map. So kudos to them, but WTF nikkansports? I don't think they are even beach partners any more

ps - somehow Nao appears to look like one of those Japanese photo booth manipulations in real life

  • I have a feeling Gunma might rack up another win this weekend

  • Is Rosamaria's natural hair color black/dark brown?

  • Himeji tanking on purpose to place eight seed and face Osaka in playoff match? Currently losing to Queensies at 0-2. Osaka is vulnerable to an upset even though they're top place during regular season, it happened on last year's finals and this year's Empress cup. Astemo Ibaraki still has to win all games remaining and Himeji to lose all their remaining games to switch standings at the end of season (not sure of tie-breaker points if both teams have the same win-loss card in the end). Highly unlikely but possible? As it stands right now if it holds till the end, NEC will play Himeji (#2 vs #7) and I think NEC defeats Himeji. You guys are the expert, just my observation.

  • Kurobe is too much fun. I can't take it :super:

  • My sweet eggy is having one of her good games with her new and improved NEC swing

  • Kurobe just not letting NEC get away with anything

    Maddie aced my eggy :(

  • Captain Nakamura is really putting the hammer down with prejudice occasionally

  • I thought there was a rule against cavemen, caveman adjacents, and stupid one-drummers making noise during the play

  • Himeji clinched their spot with PFU loss today.
Astemo has a 3 win advantage over Kariya and PFU. But Astemo have dropped a ton of points, so magic number for them is 3, (combination of wins and Queenseis/PFU losses).

  • Kurobe making Kurobe style blunders now

  • One win for Gunma is enough already for this season 🤭

Nope  they just got #2

  • If NEC reverse sweeps Kurobe here I will be in a mood
