Japan - SV.League Women 2024-2025

  • Yuki Ishii >>>> everyone else who does stuff

  • This isn't fun any more

  • Turning it off now

  • Miyu Kawazoe - MVP

    Mei Matsuoka - MIP/NEO ... Newcomer?

I was surprised Miyu and Rui Nonaka played the whole game. Maybe a couple others did and I didn't notice. Miyu and Rui are both under-the-radar players. I don't think they are big on the social medias

Rui is big on social media actually. Not legit big but you know, relative to the other players in the league. She is also always pretty much the top in votes among non Japan NT-A players for a couple of seasons now and whenever the league has some voting competition, she pretty much win  I don't think there's any Japanese player in SVLeague (not counting Minowa because well, Filipino followers) with more followers than her outside of those with Japan NT Team A experience. She's that girl

  • The first two sets are the real game, but the 3rd set is just them playing around. Araki became a referee, Kurogo is the camera man, Chatchuon played setter, Araki issued a yellow card to Airi but she countered her with a red card, rallies where all the players are inside the court, letting Mei spike a couple of times and even score, changing positions etc

It was nice and although awkward getting to see Airi playing as OH for 3 sets. It's really obvious she hasn't played that position for a while. Not only her defense but her spikes are awkward. She looks like she had fun though :rolll: :dance6:

  • Only Osaka Marvelous and Saga Hisamitsu Springs with no announcement of new players yet. So far, there are 43 new players announced with 20 coming from High School and 23 from University. (I counted Yamaji for Saitama although she's already on special student contract before).

Queenseis Kariya had the most recruits with 7 players.

  • Kurobe added 3 players (1 from HS, 2 from University)

    • Ciara Hirano (OH/OP, Kinrankai HS)
    • Aoi Hata (OH/OP, Nihon)
    • Kokoro Inada (S, JWCPE)

I really liked the setter a couple seasons ago when JWCPE made the Final. One of those Uni teams that won with middle blockers (Reika Sato & Aoba Shiozaki). They graduated and she couldn't do much with what was left. She might do well with good players in SVL

The OP from Nihon is one of my dream girls, 170cm hammer :)

Both of them are tough players

  • Kokoro Inada's photo cracks me up

  • Steamrolled. Jerk-ball attitude, imo

  • Come on people. Let's give it up for Kurumi Takama. Not that she's super great, but nobody's ever come off a two year bench with her "I got this" attitude :rose:

[-] I knew if I posted that she wouldn't start tonight :rolll:

  • These left arm bicep bands are all the rage these days. What are they measuring?

  • A couple Higashi kids as young adults

Yuri Umezu is so pretty now

  • Haven't been watching the match but Minja Osmajić 11/16, 2 blocks into mid 3rd set ... in for Airi

  • Sometimes Denso falls apart and then sometimes their defense is ridiculously good. They are a comeback team. I enjoy that

  • No way this NEC/Denso match was going to be anything but a 15–13 Tie Break :box:

  • Shiga shooting for a reverse sweep going into the Tie Break with Okayama. We had one in V2 tonight, we need one in V1 :box:
