Japan - SV.League Women 2024-2025

  • Maki Yamaguchi 10/16, 5 blocks

    Akane Ukishima 9/16, 2 blocks

I know it's against Gunma but still fun stuff

  • If I was their coach I'll tell them to tank the first set .. then see what happens :/

    :rolll:

  • After missing out on SVL a few weeks, it's refreshing to see NEC playing... though I'm wondering what's happened to Ajcharaporn. When I last saw her, she wasn't playing well. I suppose she lost her place in the starting line-up. If she doesn't improve dramatically she could lose her place in the Thai NT too :/

This is as of Feb 02 / last week. Stats of their 4 OHs:

    ATTACKING:

    Hirota - 38.9% (144 attempts)

    Sato - 38.8% (1,067)

    Sasaki - 33.4% (344)

    Ajcharaporn - 32.2% (419)

    RECEIVING:

    Sasaki - 37.8% (337 attempts)

    Sato - 36.4% (712)

    Ajcharaporn - 34.6% (342)

    Hirota - 32.6% (95)

Hirota with fewer attempts. Since Yoshino's slot is definitely fixed, they only rotate the 3 for the other slot. Seems like Sasaki really is a better option right now.

When did you go inside baseball  You know the team better than anyone, what are your feels? :)

For me it's a moving parts thing. Team seems more fluid and whole with Sasaki

  • Inoue looks pissed she has to play pos 6 with Nagaoka swinging

  • pretty fun tie break :box:

  • Chatchu on choked at the wrong time

  • Position Movement with Today's Matches

Saitama is essentially in 5th place with the loss to NEC today. Saga is ahead of them on wins at 19, but Saitama has to win to stay in front of Saga

With a 4 win gap to Kurobe and possibly 3 win gap to Okayama, I will say that the top 8 for the playoffs are probably locked in, with 14 matches left.

Kurobe in 9th place with all matches played, but Okayama or Queenseis can move in front of them if they win their games next weekend.

  • Osaka Marvelous signed Koyumi Fukumura

They have so many OHs now. It’s more fun tho because there seems to be an internal competition on who gets to play alongside Hayashi or who will replace Tanaka, who might be retiring soon that’s why they’re stacked with OHs. Their scrimmages must be pretty intense.

I wonder if they’ll bring in a true local OP. I dont think Ameze is happy about being a backup OP :rolll:

  • Let's go Kurobe :super:

  • They heard you.... they running away with set 1 ^^

Denso often pulls that Aranmare strategy you recommended

Denso is a good comeback team, for the most part but not always

  • I've been liking this new Kurobe libero, Ayami Urayama, a lot but with Kawabata on the other side of the net as comparison ....
