    Honestly, what's new. Danesi always makes drama. It's hard for me to pretend she is an innocent lamb while she....quite literally is calling other people lambs lol. She is obviously a person that likes to be provocative and I don't mind that, but I always find it cringe when people dish it and then backtrack on their words. Own it! Otherwise, no one forces you to make any remarks at all, it's obvious that this will cause a reaction.

    My issue with Danesi is using Ebrar (I can't stand her either) as a scapegoat to justify her dislike for the Turkish team. Putting Vargas next to Ebrar makes no sense, Melissa hardly shows emotions on court, let alone disrespect her opponents?(


    And focusing on Vargas' looks were unnecessary too. Melissa is probably discriminated enough because of it, even if you don't have bad intent, just avoid it.

    It's FIVB and not Turkish players' responsability to "ban" Ebrar. Vargas, Eda, Cansu etc have no fault for what Ebrar does or for what Turkish toxic fans write on social media.

    It reminds me the big fuss caused by Santarelli’s word during a TO against Brazil, when he said the famous “They do not have quality”, but it was more than obvious for anyone with two drops of common sense that he clearly intended that Brazilian team did not have quality in that passage of the match, he meant in that rotation or when someone Brazil doesn’t have good reception. Even though he could also be labelled as provocative (and I do agree), he never disrespected at all Brazilian team or their history at the sport.
    But people choose what to believe and most of social networks in Brazilian despise Santarelli cuz of this.

    There's a big difference in words verbally said during a timeout and words written in a book, which you can read over and over again before publish them.

There were never official announcement about whole thing so we don't know what part of that story is bullshit told to get interactions on Twitter. I was also very upset when I first heard about the news but seeing their videos, I wasn't sure what part of stort was true and what part was juicy exaggeration from Twitter accounts. Since Ebrar has a lot of haters, people CHOOSE to believe whatever shitty things people tell about her. I'm not saying she is a saint, but better be cautious before making such strong judgements about her

    That's true, however she will continue her career in Türkiye and she will be under the spotlight with her every act and move. Under these circumstances, she needs to learn auto control, to control herself both outside and on the court. She needs to learn to put a distance to any kind of provokations more than ever, including the ones coming from outside and from the 3rd parties. She needs to focus on her career and performance completely. Otherwise she might need to open another chapter at somewhere else (but for how long?).

    Yeah I agree, I've seen quite a big improvement from Ebrar this summer, she wasn't provocative anymore. She was turning her back towards opponent whenever she cheers for her points. So I hope she will keep her head cool. She could be a LGBT icon thanks to her popularity in Turkey or she will be the most hated player. Or it could be both for certain groups😂
