I really think bregoli should have tried playing with 3 middles like Belgium did for a long time. Both scholzel and strubbe are too good to waste on bench. They both could be starter in many teams in this tournament. I'm sure they could score as much as weske could, but with higher kill ratio. Also they would be more deterring at block against outside hitters of the opponent. I don't think bregoli will do it now without testing it beforehand during friendlies but I see it as a missed opportunity. With 3 ohs situation, they basically don't have anyone left who could actually contribute in front or backrow
Cekulaev is a better opp than Weske so this formula could work out. Strubbe is... I don't know she's so-so but that happens when you get benched the entire NT season so it's not surprising she gets rusty like during the match vs Dominican Republic she was a starter and she was so slow. Scholzel definitely needs more action and it's not like she's falling behind either.

In the other groups, everything will be very boring, and if something unusual were to happen, it would certainly be extremely unpredictable...

I don't know where that fansite got it but Serbia and Belgium are the only teams I've seen so far that posted those press photos. I've been looking everywhere for Japan's and no luck

These photos are for volleyballworld purposes like tv-roster presentation. I think players, vw or national federations can publish them if they want to.

Japan-Serbia game is the most interesting one in group level. It is really unpredictable game. Also china/Dom and pol/ger games will be exciting. I'm even excited about USA vs Czechia. Czech team had a great vnl, they can be the team that could make a big surprise. I'm worried about tur/cze possible 1/16 match up

New requirements.. yeah terrible fivb doesn’t let men participate in Women’s WCH, how they could do sth like that.. sorry guys, I know that the last time that topic created some drama, but let’s be honest, that’s ridiculous! Believe me that I don’t have anything agains trans people, I’m also gay, but men can’t compete alongside women! Vietnam should be ashamed of their practices, they probably wouldn’t even compete at the WCH without Nguyen presence over the last years.
