Serbia had the better OH duo today, NL the better MB duo. Serbia a better libero, NL better setter. Opposites were both a bit hot and cold but in general did their part.
In the end, NL won this match by making less errors (18 vs. 32) but I'm sure that when we'll meet again next year we will get swept like the good old times

Why is anyone here acting like this team needs Boskovic to score a million points a match to win. It literally doesn’t even have to do with that. It has to do with having a competent opposite. Anyone objective can see that. It’s just Turkish users who hate Serbia arguing anything else’s multiple fans of other teams like Poland and China can see the obvious even the Netherlands fans on here understand the situation….

I am not sure if Ebrar would guarantee them a medal. Turkey finished 7th/8th 4 years ago with her as OPP and back then Zehra and Eda were even better than now.
Honestly, I think Serbia would have been in the top 4 with healthy Boskovic. They had 32 mistakes today in total and Holland barely won.
Ebrar was very young then, now she is way more mature and experienced. She was MVP of Russian league.
Those are all hypothetical situations anyways. There is no guarantee that ivanovic would have shown same monster performance with boskovic for instance. There is ech next summer, we will have to wait till then to see what they can do with boskovic

Really fucking sad for defending champions to go out like this, this match is 3-0, at most 3-1 if bosko is healthy.
We all know this WCH isn’t the real deal. The idea of making the WCH a biennial event is just nonsense, especially to have it right after the OG year. This should be the gap year for teams to let their veterans have some rests and give space and chances to new generation to play in NT. Lots of teams are in rebuilding phase after the OG, even a team winning this “new WCH” can be claimed as the World Champ, but we all know it’s just a lot different and can’t be compared to the real World Champs in the past. (Not to mention this 32-team format sucks)
