    That was so my kind of volleyball. Damn, I think I'm more fatigued from watching it than the players who played it are

    Well at least Thailand didn't go down without a fight. A huge improvement from their VNL level with the same group of players, kuddos to them! :flower:


    I'm actually happy with the result because at least now we can be the underdogs in QF, the pressure would have been way higher if they had faced Thailand. But still would have loved a five set thriller for the fans though :box:

    I also really liked Donphon and Warisara during VNL, but they have been the only ones on Thai side who didn't see the court today. Is there a fitness issue with them, or did the coach just let them play more in VNL to gain experience for the future (like we kinda did with Vos/Kok)?

    Honestly, I think Serbia would have been in the top 4 with healthy Boskovic. They had 32 mistakes today in total and Holland barely won.

    Ebrar was never among the world's top players at the OPP position and the same with Boz before him. He wasn't even at the level of Neslihan Demir. That's why Turkey didn't win big before Vargas time and probably still wouldn't. Imagine a matchup: Ebrar-Egonu or Ebrar-Boskovic :) In the 2022 World Champ. quarterfinals, Turkey lost 3-0 to the then-weak USA. That was the level of Poland and Germany. Guidetti was unlucky that Vargas didn't come earlier, because objectively looking from Ebrar/Boz on OP he couldn't have won anything big with that team.

    Apparently as many people see we do not always agree but in this case you just could not have expressed better. Terzic was the worst option ever, . He took a team full of potential and made them loser queens.

    Really everything was clear from 2021. Have you ever seen any team in the world to play excluding the OH's from the attack? I do not know maybe they will have to pass like 50 or 100 years until we see a team in which they barely give 10 attacking efforts to each OH.

    Just find a decent coach that wants to lead this team and not someone that just wanted a job for the summer because Russia can not play.

    I could see a bit of the NL - Serbia game during my lunch break and based on that I didn’t understand the reactions here about Nika. But I think I saw a good part of the match, I tuned in at 16-15 in the second set and back to work halfway through the third set.



    Could someone tell me why Popovic is back? I thought she retired the NT?

    Re-watched the JPN/THA match for THA's bench area. It's like a nightclub destination. Those girls are so much fun

    Serbia should have eliminated the Netherlands even without Boskovic. Look at Brazil. They reach the final in every tournament without an opposite hitter.

    Yeah, seeing her as top scorer after reading the post here made me like :cheesy::what:


    but I’m also in camp overrated, I guess I never saw in her what others see. And sure, her transfer is nice to the best club of the world but sitting mainly on the bench (because Gabi and Zhu)… that’s not.
