The one time that Sylla absolutely complitely deserved award she doesn’t get it… THIS IS A JOKE
I thought Sylla could be OH, she defended as a libero in the SFs and today; she stepped up when both Egonu and Antropova were inconsistents, she took the responsability. Another BIG blow from FIVB
Ppl doesnt like Brazil. In our time as third we get only one player in dream team lol
Orro… really? I’m seriously wondering at what they based that on
Basis? for MB, Julia K already had the award at VNL, so no she wont be getting another award this time lmao
I mean, Orro, while being decent at best and important for Italy (we saw how Italy did when Cambi was the setter), it's just.... controversial for her to win MVP. Egonu would have been a lazy choice but I guess FIVB wants to be out of the box with the choices.
She wasn’t even the best setter here, Cansu has outplayed her today.
She's popular and people find her pretty. Media and fans love her. I even see opinion polls asking if she is the best setter in the history.
Why do people here always care so much about these awards, they're an afterthought lol
Orro's agend knows important people in key positions in volleyball world and they give her awards. There is no other explanation and it's no joke. I mean it.
Same as Takeshita level in 2006. I am watching in the Argentinian tv; they are neutral and they are shocked, saying that Orro didnt play at her norma level, which at max is mid for the world volleyball standards.
Nothing against Orro; nothing personal, but this is a crime for the volleyball technique. Likewise, we all know the caliber of Danesi, but she was far from her level in the last two matches. Julia K is the best MBs of this WCH without a doubt. Eda's award is totally understandble.
Takeshita was a goddess in her role. Orro is decent at best when she peaks.

FIVB just likes Italy and Turkey, they are marketable, it’s a fact.
Award bias is real.

They don't do more than 1 player outside of the final, I told you guys

How can you miss out Japan? lol
May I add one word for Eda Erdem? World class game at 38, we'll miss her just like we'll miss Moki.

Please Takeshita was at least one of the best setter to ever play the game. She was magic.
Oh women's volleyball, you have fallen so deep 😭😭

Are either of them even planning to retire?
Can anyone write the whole dream team????
At least I got to see KYK today.
it would have been decent awards if they changed danesi to Julia k and gave mvp to sylla.

I remember that. Japan was 6th.
Is Larson still chewing gum even when she's not playing?
I'm glad to see the Turkish girls don't look too destroyed down in tears. They can be very proud of their whole tournament and getting this silver! It's been a while since I've liked their game (Eda you slide queen
), I even liked Cansu this tournament?!?!
If they can create a more reliable OH (like Italy has with Sylla) I'm sure they'll be back for it the next time
