Cuba had a complete meltdown whilst Portugal stepped up and Tavares ran a brilliant offense with Kelton and Marques beating the Cuban block. The Portuguese opposite also got so many good block touches and both liberos were solid! The Cubans suffer from the same issue plaguing the women’s Dominican NT: so much potential, very physical but just lacking discipline and focus.

couldn’t agree more on this. He did an amazing job, this team was average at most before he made a come back and made them a top team during last Olympic Qualification. Before this, the team was meh most of the time and Winiarski did not have much influence on the team, once Grozer joined, things started to go well and everyone started to act like Germany has been a top team since forever and Winiarski is an excellent coach lol
anyway, I like this team generally. They have a lot of young talents. -
Belgium is quite impressive vs. Ukraine
haven't seen them play since OQT I think, but they are fun to watch! Also teenager libero is doing a good job

Ukraine reminded me of Turkey of VNL. Numerous chances to level up and it's everyone of them ended up in garbage.

I didnt see it coming at all, maybe a hard fight and that’s all. But Egypt have just beaten up Iran 3-1.
i wouldnt it call it a mega upset, but still an upset.
Likewise, Finland almost stuns Argentina some hours ago. The SouthAmericans needed to come from a 0-2 deficit and legendary De Cecco had to come from the bench in order to re organise the team.The first round has not still finished and this WCH is delivering 🫡

Serbia again shows they’re not as good as a few years ago when they were at their height and medal contenders. Seems to me they’re at a rebuilding phase.
