The absence of Sekita has destroyed Japan, and that’s absolutely true. But Ishikawa’s decline after the Olympics—which started in the club season and continued in the national team matches—is really worrying.

The male version of Mckenzie Adams is not working for France. I love Louati, he is stronge in the back row and brings energy to his team but it is not possible a man of his age and experience being so weak in high balls. Not even in OOS.

It helped that Ordiales helped Bagunas in scoring today. All teams in Pool A now have one win each. It makes it hard to predict who who'll be top 2 and who will be eliminated.

Hot take, France would have won Paris 2024 with whomever at the helm of their team. Giani got this job thanks to his passport and did not added anything to this team. In fact, there were weird choices such as considering Louati over Clevenot last summer lol

France is the same with Giani as well as they were with Tille. They do not pay the needed attention to lower or middle ranking teams and when they realise that : ''Υeah they can play volleyball as well'' they get messy. In 2021 they won the Olympics and excluded from a random team in ECH. It will not surprise me if they lose from Argentina and ended up like Japan.
PS. They decision of benching Earvin and giving so muvh space to Henno who was much worst has zero sense to me.
PS. Is Clevenot injured or Giani just decided to give him some rest
