This match could have been a lot easier for Germany if Grozer is in killer mode. Sadly, his age is showing. It's mostly the OHs scoring.

oh no, is he also injured? I can’t keep up with all those injured starters 😢
I think he is. I saw a social media post expressing his support for the team in his absence. I'm not update with the injured players as well. I'm wondering too if Karlitzek is injured.

14-9 in 4th set, looks like it’s over for germany

Not sure what's between Winiarski and Weber, but today he would be a useful back-up Opp...
-
And we have our next disappointing team after Japan: Germany

-
Winiarski is the main one to blame for Germany’s elimination. Filip John was unstoppable in the Nations League. It seems like he feels obliged to Grozer and insists on starting him no matter what

It sounds weird to say but I don't even mind Nimir isn't participating for us? He wasn't a 100% fit, but it's hard to bench him if he's in the squad (like with Grozer). Everyone would expect him to score at least 20-30 points, and the play would be very Nimir-ball. I'd say 90% of Nimir is still equal to/better than Ahyi at 100% but the team looks a lot better with everyone involved in attack - and Koops' pipe instead of pos 1.
Don't get me wrong I love me some Nimir - and him in top shape could carry the team further, but I'm not too sad about how it's going without him now, giving the others a chance to shine and improve
(also Ahyi really stepped up his error-prone service compared to VNL

)I agree, Netherlands post-Nimir is not too bad when you think about it (which also should have been the way all along).

)it’s not weird to say. Nimir-ball was getting boring and often felt like the others knew Nimir was going to score anyway so weren’t that eager (not sure how to say). I find it much more fun to watch now and feel like everyone has stepped up, participating in scoring points.

)i think its for the best for now because the teams growth has been stunted for years because nimir would fix it/ we seemed to have a 'bonded' cohort who all still were starters/ benchplayers with Piazza's inability to use/ disinteress in the next gen even with some players imo being far past their (mediocore) prime.
i wouldnt mind him coming back next year/ year after if we get back in vnl. With the usual reception of the current ohs nimir-ball hopefully wouldnt even be necessary anymore

Winiarski.... I am sorry but this is what you get when you do not call your best OPP. At least John should be the starter for today. It's shame that such a well stractured team like Germany was iliminated from a team without OH

. On papers they were stronger both than Slovenia and Bulgaria but... -
There is hype in Poland on Winiarski that he could be the next coach of NT.
So, thank you, Germany, for what you do for us.
-
Does Averill have any injuries?
He was the only American reserve player not to play against Cuba.
-
Matheus Pinta needs to play instead of Judson
-
Lucarelli didn't show up today. Should have been Arthur + Lukas. Replace Flavio with Pinta.
-
Serbia beat Brazil 3-0. Serbia and Brazil tied for Top 1.
Czechia if beats China 3-0, they will move to the next stage with Serbia. The difference is the sets won.
-
And now a 3-0 win by Czechia against China could eliminate Brazil!!!
-
Brazil with 3 consecutive serve errors practically gave the match away to Serbia. Congrats to Serbia for closing this in straight sets and not allowing a Brazilian comeback. Admirable determination from the underdog team.

-
Serbia pins played really good
-
Lol I didn’t expect this, I didn’t even plan to watch it cause it’s so late and I expected to be 3-0 clean sweep for Brazil but Jovovic-Luburic pulled their Maja-Boskovic game today

I thought this team would fail after Czechia game, honestly after VNL I expected nothing from this team
