Really? Whenever I saw him in Plus Liga he was bad too lol (although he had good playoffs). He is in the competition for the worst setter of this tournament so it’s lowkey funny that even with him Poland is probably the favourite to win at the moment because of their strong wings.

I don't think he's so horrible, but he is a huge downgrade from Janusz, who used to make his middles combine 30 points without passing. When Poland can't involve the middles, they are vulnerable. Today they are vulnerable. Also didn't get what Fornal was doing on court, but I was distracted for a while... maybe something happened to Leon.

I hope Poland wins and dedicate the victory to the memory of Arkadiusz Golas. Few days ago it was the 20th anniversary of his death and Ignaczak wrote a beautiful post to remember his best friend. ❤️😢

Yes they are. Turkey could have gone further in the tournament if it was any team other than Poland 😶 I'm curious how much turkey could push Poland after seeing how much Netherlands forced them. My guess for semis:

Italy vs Argentina is really delivering, high level vball. De Cecco is schooling Gianelli so far. Southamericans only had 2 mistakes in the first set, but Italian fire power is defo stronger.

Kukartsev is getting blocked a lot today, he needs to get more variable attacks.

I honestly think Argentina could have advanced in another bracket, today they didn’t play bad, as Mendez pointed out, Italy put way more pressing on serve.Pity, because this team is very fun to watch when they are all playing on sync.

The sweep is a bit unexpected, especially considering we were quite sloppy in the pool phase, but I'll take it. Argentina was quite consistent at serving and very aggressive on defence, but we handled the game nicely. The focus level seems in growth and I've seen a much better Romanò today. On the other hand, not the best Giannelli I've ever seen, lots of inaccuracies in the first two sets. We may sneak into the semifinal, but third place seems the most realistic result we can achieve.
