I do not think that Bulgaria has realistic chances with Alex playing like that...
Neither does Czechia. Playing like this, USA is a shoo-in to the finals. No jinx intended.

USA men's team has the same issues of the women's team till last year: when everything goes well, they look amazing; whenever something isn't working, they have no answer for anything and Charlie stands there hoping for the good vibes to do something in his place. ![]()
Meanwhile Blengini fixed almost everything, showing some real coaching skills.
I feel like BUL is taking this.

It must also be said that Bulgaria has Aleksandar Nikolov, who is a real game changer when he finds consistency...

True, but even the mosquitos in the hall know Bulgaria goes Nikolov-ball when it matters. It seems Kiraly didn't.
I think Karch lost it keeping Garcia on the court.

Or not.
Yikes. I jinxed USA. So sorry.
Seems like Karch has no other cards to play when Bulgaria made adjustments.
What a drama from Bulgaria![]()

. Alex went from disaster to perfection, Tatarov killed the important ball at the end and Bulgaria did it![]()

What a match. The Bulgarian boys are tough and they let you know. Hoping for a Poland vs Bulgaria final.
Now the MWCH is practically just All European teams lol. USA kinda flatlined when the Older Nikolov really got out of his early set rut and BUL serve started scoring. Best Quarters games tbh.
Kinda shocked how Filipinos are rooting for BUL out of nowhere lol. USA (and JPN) tends to be more popular. On a random note, a storm will literally drive over the area on FRI so how about that.
Where is Alex and Moni playing next season?

It was very close for 1/4 to be too

it’s hard to root for USA for anything from anywhere these days.

Lube and Lokomotiv Novosibirsk.
Some day Kirally should write a book about how he thinks that an OPP should be. He choices are really weird.

It's a real shame that we won't see young Nikolov in a top Champions League team...

I was kinda surprised too. But it seems like both teams have huge support from the crowd.
The participating teams are in for some "interesting" off-court events. Earlier this week, there was a huge city-wide mass protest and tomorrow, a storm's coming.
Hopefully Bulgaria takes it all in the end
TBH, I really thought it would be IRA that will break the EURO domination against CZH given their building up to that moment (even though they are so messy) but CZH never let them back. USA has overperformed given the new (or rarely used veterans) faces they have on court but BUL is equally young tbh AND they just seems to be pushing somewhere more.

Indra and Nikolov are just vastly superior to any spiker that either Iran or the US team have, that was a decisive point today: Indra was the best opposite of Plusliga last season and Nikolov will be a leader of Civitanova the next year, hard to compare anyone from the opposing side of the court to them. And it made serious difference today.
After the pool phase, my bet was 1. Poland, 2. Bulgaria, 3. Italy, 4. Czechia - so far so good.
