I do not think that Bulgaria has realistic chances with Alex playing like that...
Lol again😂

Speaking of spike approach, I just learned from Clayton Lucas (I think) that Matic from Turkiye has an unusual spike approach. Normally, players would take off feet apart with one foot ahead but his would have both his feet close together.
He looks very clumsy indeed, I always have feeling that he gets points by mistake😂
Lol again😂
? He made that comment when Alex was playing bad and USA won 2 sets. Alex then became UNSTOPPABLE and Bulgaria won. What is wrong with what he said ?
Lol he was. But it was pretty clear after the pool stage POL, ITA and USA/BUL would probably make the podium.
Bulgaria is most fun team to watch for me. I felt same for Belgium but unfortunately they couldn't make it to semis. By the way to me , libero is Bulgaria s weakest position
There is Gianelli on the line and therefore forget it
Micah christenson has been playing great too, pity that they don't give Awards to non semis teams

He has been downplaying Bulgaria for a while🤦Making such strong remarks is always dangerous, it might bite in the ass later, at the end, this is volleyball. Especially this tournament is exceptionally unpredictable

By the end of the second set he had like 10 points more errors ( more than 10) and 20% in attack...
Kiraly's substitutions were a mess today.
Knigge was supposed to replace Jendryk, not McHenry.
Is Ensing injured? Because there's no way he could have kept Garcia so poorly for five sets without testing his backup opposite hitter once.
they definitely have been good leaders on and off the court for this young USA team
Quite funny to read this given the "young" USA team is actually in the upper half of oldest squads in the tournament, but I agree and get the point. Very young vs their previous core team and newer to NT tournaments.
USA team's median age is actually 28yo, only 7 teams are older.
I agree Christenson and Shoji have elevated this team. I watched the game live, and they are just special
Too bad, Garcia didn't have a good game so they struggled in the 2nd half, when A.Nikolov already got his game back.

I thought about the same😂 probably because their previous squad has something like 35 years mean age, that's why people consider this USA team as 'young' 😂
Elizaveta Tischenko is also in the country. So much nostalgia seeing these players
Is this first time all semifinalists are from Europe? In recent years European domination is increasing in international tournaments, especially in male side. Winning European Championship next summer will almost be harder than winning this WCh
I am very excited by this first semifinal ![]()
I very like both teams, but I support Czech rep. Because for me it would be much more bigger surprise, when they would be in final![]()
Not the greatest level from both teams so far.

I checked that and the last time top4 was from Europe was in 1966, so it’s ancient history.
Anyway level of 1st semi is not so impressive atm. Waiting for the level to go up.
Lets see how quickly Nikolov switches to Nikolov-ball and if Czech can respond to that ![]()

Second set was better! Czechs found a way to grab the set
Tuned in at set 2. Will the next semi-final be a higher level? Probably, yes. Am I enjoying myself with this one? Definitely, yes! ![]()
Czechia seems to have done homework aiming all tip/free balls on Alex, getting him out of attack as much as possible. They are keeping their errors low which is the only chance they got. I'm happy for both teams to have at least won a set and not be swept
Czechia winning would be the biggest gag, but Bulgaria would stand the most chance in a final. Go both! ![]()
Wow great match. I did not expected that Czechia will fight like this!!! They really fight fire with water. Really strong and well organized defense.
