    With Adigwe, I'd seriously try switching to OH. At 182 cm tall, she'll by difficult in senior volleyball attack. I think only Aguero was shorter: 178 cm. The only problem is that Congeliano has such a strong OH that there won't be any experiments.

    Adwige, will be very useful to the national team: Egonu will definitely take at least a sabbatical in the next two years...

    I think other players will do the same: we're doing well in MB, P, and L position, but the real problem is the OH players: even with this generation, there's no NT material and the thing it's become chronic...

    I also think that Egonu will probably take one or two years off, especially if Italy wins the gold medal at the WCH (which is the only title missing from her palmarés), so Adigwe can find her space in NT as Opp.

    But I agree with those who say we should at least try to improve her reception to maybe use her as OH one day. And in general we really should start developing more Italian black girls as OHs since they are young, cauze we really need more power and phisicality in that position.

    We'll see what Julio says about this – there was a scandal including several players this year. Will they return? However, I don't exclude the possibility that Paola will reach an agreement with Julio and he will want to play Antropova in the first team all 2026 season. In 2026, there will only be the VNL and the European Championship, so we can relax a bit and try other options.

    I would never have awarded an award to any of the Italian OH players. It would have been much fairer to have awarded Helena or Aline, but it wasn't worse than Luana being named the best MB.


    I would have given gave it to Manfredini, but I don't think we've ever had two players at the same position named the best by the FIVB, have we?

    As for thr OH position Italy is more than fine. Even from Mazanti's era I told that Italy can and must stop depending in the trio Bosetti, Sylla , Pietrini and everyone ( including you if I remember right ) said that it is impossible and that they were the only NT material and as you see you have a sucess with an other OH and when she injured an other OH came and she looks like a big prospect and I would say that there is at least one more OH that can be added into the team.... How many do you think that have the luxury not to have two old starting OH who contribute on winning throphies with the team and still win? I can think only two teams and nobody else.

    This season after the Olympics we have seen the most low level and less competitive NT season for years. Most teams just started to be built , funtamental players of important teams stop playing and almost everyone exept you faces sereve trouble for having too low level players in important positions.

    All Italians should be really happy. Having Hill , Larson , Robinson and Bartsch is something that may probably happen like once in a 20 years and only in one NT among many others. You must not expected it and you do not needed.

    Bosetti is 179 cm heigh and has always limitations, especially she had last bad season in Turkey. Nevertheless, I think someone with that experience could be useful at competition, like the World Champ. as a substitute player. Velasco, however, made his decision before the season.

    Tbf Bosso had a good semis and finals. But yeah overall, Helena did better, I just think she got 'penalized' for her terrible semis against Italy.

    Yes, not MBs but OHs in different competition for both female and male.

    Dilay already played as starter whole season in sultanlar ligi while Safa was only playing A2. Dilay will be playing in Eczacıbaşı while Safa will play in Cuneo 🤣 Safa wasn't even in senior NT this summer, was she? And it is not like you have many great setters lined up in Italian NT. Second best option is literally Cambi🙃 and Safa still didn't get the call and you still think Safa is the best setter of this generation.:roll:


    Dilay was chosen MVP and best setter of u20 of this generation last season with mediocre wing spikers:obey:i don't remember how Safa was best then because she couldn't even make the roster at that tournament neither 🤣🤣🤣 what did actually Safa show to be best setter of this generation while can't make the cut for even Italian roster last two years?
