  • This whole tournament is ridicilous in so many ways...Free path for Italian teams loading :wavy:

  • It’s insane there are no Turkish teams, boring, only finals will be interesting :lol::lol:

I'm quite surprised crovolley didn't share this 50 times this time :lol:

  • Im excited to see how this will be justified compared to last year :dance4:

  • But why? why are there no Turkish teams included?? it looks weird

    Ask Crovolley :wavy:

  • Ask Crovolley :wavy:

because of stupid rule, same thing happend last year when their was non Italian team.

And WCCH is like perfect time to see where top teams are when it comes to their level. And We had so many perfect matches in the past and now we are two years without this epic matces. FIVB

  • Imoco Conegliano is coming at this tournament in perfect shape, I have big hopes they are go win this trophy, but this is volleyball

Even though Milano played terrible high level matches they still can challenge Imoco especially with Orro coming back. They were affected A LOT with her injury and I can’t believe it that they signed such a low level back up setter. It was is to big task for her. What was Milano thinking :what:

Nika is in life time shape, Kurtagic is great blocker at such young age but She is lacking power when it comes to her attacking but She is super young, but maybe not yet perfect choice for such a big club. They are missing one more high high level MB next to Danesi.

On another hand Imoco hasn’t lose single match this season. 18/18 this season, with 21 victories in the row (3 from previous season).
Their OH line up is better than last season, and Christina C. is in her life time shape. She reached her new peak, they are not missing De Krujif at all duo all respect to her legacy. Similar when it comes to blocking but Christina is deadlier in attack than Robin. Felling sory for Lubian I was hoping She is gone be starter this season but injury slower her down. Everyone were thinking that Zhu can’t handle pressure on reception as Plummer but Imoco never had better reception than this season. Zhu is doing more than just fine job and Gabi and De Gennaro are slaying. They are coverin more space and helping Zhu. Way better defence without Plummer in back row plus their no better OH in defence as Gabi.

Not to much to say for other teams, I hope other users will say few words. And what can We expect from them, can they challenge Italian powerhouse ?! To bad We don’t have at last 1 Turkish clubs :(.

yep.... I think most of us feel the same about the absence of any Turkish clubs... I think even FIVB feel the same, but rules are rules and it was too late to change anything, at least not for this year :(

  • Last season, the three Asian teams were the champions of their respective leagues, but what a difference a year makes. Without Vargas as opposite, Tianjin became like a boxer with one arm. In the Chinese league, they were languishing at second from the bottom of the standings with 2 wins 4 losses after 6 rounds. However they improved dramatically when their regular setter Yao Di rejoined the team. Li Yingying will be the key player in the club wch.

As for LP Bank Ninh Binh, they’re third in the completed 2024 Vietnamese league. I’m not sure if they can be a threat here. But at least NEC Red Rockets are competitive, they’re good defensively and can strike on the counterattack. However, they are having mixed fortunes this season.

Truth be told, even if the Asian sides were on top of their game, it would be hard to challenge the European and South American teams. I have a feeling that, whilst the Asian fans will be cheering for their teams, they’re also be happy if one of Italian sides won due to connection with the Asian players there ^^

NEC Red Rockets lost their 2 best players from last season - NT players Sarina Koga and libero Manami Kojima. Both are really big losses for the team, and they were replaced by practically rookies. The team is currently 4th in the Japanese League right now, and very inconsistent. They lost some games to bottom teams.

The scoring is being lead by OH Yoshino Sato who is in her rookie year from University (top scorer of a defending champion team in her first year in Pro is huge) and OPP Yukiko Wada who just transferred this season from another team.

NEC's foreign players are Thai OH Ajcharaporn Kongyot and Brazilian OPP Lorrayna. Ajcharaporn's stats this season are not looking good so far that she gets benched a lot of times for another Japanese rookie OH. Lorrayna's stats are good but she missed a lot of games due to an injury and only started to play again last weekend, but only as a substitute so far.

Wada started all the games as OPP while Lorrayna was out for injury. Unfortunately, Wada was assisted off the court last weekend and did not finish the match, although no news regarding her condition if she's really injured or just an injury scare. She is in the latest team training post, at least.

    Projected Starters:

OH: Yoshino Sato, Thai Ajcharaporn Kongyot

OPP: Yukiko Wada OR Brazillian OPP Lorrayna (whoever is healthy I believe)

MB: Nichika Yamada, Haruyo Shimamura/Moeka Kinoe

    S: Tsukasa Nakagawa

    L: Sayaka Daikuzono

I don't think they can challenge the Italian teams, but I'm still excited to watch them regardless :rolll::dance6:

A chance to watch Sarina playing was to be one of the highlights for me :(
