is this the Tsukuba match ? they're in the dark jerseys?
yes
check MB #7 Rin Honda. She has a future. As opposed to one of my faves #2 OP Koto Monta who at 168 doesn't. But she's exactly why I love Uni Ball

Well, get coffeed up and ready for the Juntendo Meikai match. It will start 30 minutes after the Aoyama Match ends, or maybe they wait until 2 1/2 hours after the match started. Either way, Court K

It's amazing to me how many service errors there are when the score is 23–23
ooh, tough call on Kobe to lose the match
that's another thing I love about Uni ball. There is no bitching or whining
-
I'm going to move to Japan, run for office, and outlaw drumming
-
Meikai are such goofballs ... #8 is their only MB, so they play two (three?) rotations without a MB when she rotates out
right now they are #3, 2 13 which is OP OH OP
#13, the southpaw is their OP
now they are 13- 14 - 3 which is OP S -WTF
#3 is so ambiguous. She never rotates out. Plays receiving line and slides right when she's in front row, past the OP who runs quick middleWhen OH #2 is in 4, she will run back to 5 and do a slide left back to 4. It' her favorite play
I can't follow it
-
Meikai's problem is that running all these peculiar speed ball combinations leaves too vulnerable on defense
-
I'm so torn about this match. I keep switching and rooting for whoever is on the near side of the court
-
overtime set

Tie Break
Juntendo is a much more serious team, but I love Meikai's comic relief. Watching Meikai when they are on the far side, it is difficult to guess who is going to hit the ball. Someone just pops up out of nowhere
#14, Meikai's freshman setter is deadly with her fast low sets to the lefty OP -
Meanwhile, looks like Tokai's gonna upset NSSU, which really shouldn't be an upset, but NSSU has been peaking and Tokai's been struggling as of late
Harsh toke one of them is not making it to QFs
-
13–13, of course
14–14, of course
15–15, of course
16–16, of course
break point Juntendo
although I realize I would be unhappy if Meikai lost, and be sad if Juntendo did, so ...
17–17 OMG
-
Heck, now I'm sad Meikai lost
Oh well, had to be one or the other
Tokai and Juntendo move on
-
Tokai wins the lottery. They get Chukyo in the QFs
