Two break points for Kaetsu. Tokai needs to bring their ... uhm ... whatever top teams like them bring when in trouble

71st All Japan Intercollegiate Women's Championship 2024

That was three questionable pancakes in rapid succession for Kaetsu. they got their lucky bounces back
-

Well , Kaetsu played with a little less pep tonight. I thought the longer the match went on the better for Tokai. But Kaetsu got a second wind
I'm happy for Kaetsu Captain #1 Momoka Noro. She's one of those 168cm hammers I loveMIP
Final should start in 30–60 minutes
Tsukuba v Aoyama ... same channel
-
Tokai was playing #12 Urara Yamamoto-ball last couple sets. She has an angry look about her I'm not fond of, but she's a 169cm hammer
-
I've seen one or two players getting emotional after winning...
but for Kaetsu, it was "torrents of tears" from the whole team. I think it meant a lot to them. It was quite moving to see this...
but I'm happy for them

It's huge for them. They had a good team in 2017 and got podium in all three tournaments that year but nothing since
Congrats to the girls

This is beautiful stuff
Relentless volleyball
Nobody stops or even slows down to catch their breath. They run back to serve
Akane Abe and Koto Monta seem like they're having a competition to see who can actually punch a hole in the ballAoyama freshman #23 isn't afraid to swing like a maniac either. And then there's Misuzu
-
And everybody is so god damn happy and amped up to the roof
-
I don't like Sakura Ando acting silly in the commercial break, tho. Spoils my image of her
-
Tsukuba attack is more unpredictable, there's more variation... thanks in part to Niina's skillful distribution. That said, Aoyama's strikes are faster and harder, more difficult to defend against even if you knew where they're coming from

The camera work catching some of Niina's twisty moves is impressive
I don't understand how Aoyama MB #5 Karen Edokuporo gets any power in her swing. she swings goofyfoot, I swear. A fave since her HS days -
If you ever wondered what volleyball would be like if every player smoked a bag of crack before the match ... this is it
-
phew... that was some anxious moments 🫣
-
The passing is so money
And the diving
this is my jam
-
Please go full set
-
My only quibble is they don't back attack enough
-
The digging in this match is insane
