One positive thing about Akbas is that the MBs are starting to contribute more offensively for Japan this year. If my memory serves me right, last year Japan lost all their matches against Poland with Manabe. Congratulations, I can say that I missed this smart and great play of Japan

No Japan lost because Koga put herself in the position of doing everything even when she couldn't handle everything. Ishikawa was just a sub this time it's different because it's not just putting all the balls to Koga. I like her but thank god she retired because they'd probably still be that weak with her around doing all that

This is what is so impressive to me about the way Mayu is captaining. She was always under the shadow of the so-called "aces" because she wasn't 180cm. Now she's captain and she is embracive (just made up that word) of everyone else.
I think Seki gave her too many swings today but she still played full game
