    You're absolutely right. It's a discussion about setters of this generation, one I've been having for a while...

    If I may add, you've forgotten about Jourdyn Poulter, who, if she were physically fit, would certainly be a top contender...

    Among the new stars, you've certainly forgotten about Zhang Zixuan: the Chinese baby is sensational...

    Sarah van Aalen also has great skills, but so far she's been disappointing and isn't showing her full potential, if she ever does...

    Poulter at her best is in the conversation for sure but she doesn’t seem like she’ll really ever be healthy again so I didn’t include her. Yes you’re right about the China setter she is great

    In fact, after Orro, Berg must be the most underrated setter in history. She was the main reason Villa Cortese didn't win any titles, and her mess with Davis was the reason the US lost the 2012 OG final.

    I would not put Ah Mow, but Berg definitely yes.


    I had a chance to talk with 2 Serie A1 managers and both agreed with me she has the best hands ever seen in Serie A1, even better than Lo Bianco, Fofao and Kun Feng. Pity her body never fully supported her talent and she had multiple minor injuries and a few bad ones. So the others were overall better players, more consistent and with regular higher level. Lindsey was definitely a legendary setter and one of the best ever seen in Serie A1.

    It wasn't about her injuries, but rather her lack of discipline with her diet.


    Zé Roberto fired her when she arrived at Pesaro because she was always overeating and never took care of her physique.


    She always collapsed in the finals, which is why Lang Ping never trusted her to start (one of Hugh's many mistakes).


    Watch the 4th set against Brazil in Beijing. The US had every chance to take the match to a 5th set, and she not only did make the worst decisions, but her accuracy was terrible.

    Nuh poulter has been horrible whole VNL, I wouldn't count her one of the elite setters anymore. Same for van aalen who had a mediocre season at best, I even think that she will loose her starting spot to Bongaerts in Wich


    Closest to Maja&wolosz level are Brazilian and Turkish setter duos considering their both NT and club performances

    that had more to do with her availability not her talent. She wasn’t able to play VNL bc her school taking too long so I guess they didn’t want to throw her into a world champs with no experience. Milano offering her a contract also shows the talent she is

    Sorry, did they have a fight or you mean they just both didn't perform well at the final? I didn't expect Brazil to win then too because USA has been beating them a lot since 2010.
