Egonu should just retire. The past year has made it just so painfully obvious she has litte desire to even play. She’s a zombie on court and painfully mediocre lately
This might become a painful day for NL and their world ranking points, they are completely off so far and really need to step up if they wanna beat this France
Japan is insane
Eze doing everything possible to avoid setting Egonu
Dutch team with only unforced errors ![]()
A pity that it ended with a bad set![]()
Please get off Gerritsen! She only gets tooled by the block and can't score a single point in attack... Also Reesink making mistake after mistake, but or back-up libero in regular jersey![]()
France doing the absolute bare minimum but it's enough ![]()

Reesink needs the reps so maybe she will be less horrible when she gets to Schwerin.
Hester won't get a fair chance.
japan will never be a real threat as long as they have to fight hard to win every single match, they just can't coast through even against the weakest opponents in vnl, maybe korea being the only exception since they play a similar type of volleyball but at a much lower level.
For me, that is what makes their volleyball exciting. They know that they do not have the physicality/height so that is why they always need to fight hard and compensate what they lack. Indeed, it is difficult to always play their peak when they are just not at their best (e.g. Paris olympics) but it makes it more exciting to watch them hustle as a viewer.
Smart tactic from Felix to lose this game so we can earn more points when we beat USA tomorrow (/delusional)
I can't watch this... How many tips dropped on the floor!?!
I miss Jet
she still makes some easy mistakes but at least she dares to rip one and blocks good
Block and defense is just nowhere! ![]()
they look death on court lmao. Where is all the normal yelling and enthousiasm? This game started with no energy and they still have no energy
I don't even know what starting line-up to use in set 3 because there are not enough players who would get a passing grade to fill 7 slots
maybe Hester should just start OH with someone as front row sub for her, because she might be able to tool the block or do something more useful at the net. Or as receiving opposite, let's go

He copied Terzic’s tactics obviously, we gonna get a hell lot of points when we beat Belgium and Czechia in 3rd week (IF we beat)
Căruțașu and Vargas will be allowed to play together, right?
So I understand Karakurt insisting on being OH.
Alexia may change her playing style, Vargas and Karakurt have similarities as OPP.
Yes in theory but carutasu isn't really better than Ebrar, I would use jack instead of carutasu. She is the only one who can replace Eda or even Zehra. I don't expect these two to play every game in WCh so we need a replacement for them. Aslı is actually doing a great job as mb2 but we need a slider mb1 and I wouldn't bet on Deniz uyanık, YET. Eda is getting older and Zehra is injury prone. Until begum kaçmaz is ready, jack could be useful for transition period. I actually would love to have Begüm kacmaz playing in vnl, she has higher ceiling than both Deniz uyanık and Berka Özden. Begüm and Dilay could be our starters in LA so we should integrate them to our roster ASAP. Since Begüm is being wasted in u19 and U21 tournaments this summer, I would use jack for 1-2 years
Considering Vargas, Alexia and Sinead Jack, only one player is permitted to play iIn 1st and 2nd phase. From 3rd phase onwards, 2 players are permitted. Vargas/Alexia, Vargas/Sinead Jack or Alexia/Sinead Jack. From 30th of March 2026 all 3 will have the chance to play.
No chance or possibility or need for Alexia to change her playing style. She is very suitable to take act in a fast playing system with many other capabilities and talents. Beside being a very good hitter, she is a very good blocker and good server + defending her area very well. She is also unpredictable with tips having the skills of ball control.
Ebrar has the same playing style as Vargas does, with high balls. It is a great advantage for a team, having 2 opps with such different skills, which usually confuses the opponent and because of this, I would chose Vargas and Alexia together. So far, I do not observe any weakness in our middles, since Berka and Deniz are doing very well. In a year or so, they will be experienced and very efficient middles. Looking the case from this aspect, Sinead is 33years old while Alexia and Berka are 21 and Deniz is 25 years old, I would definitely play my card on the players, other than Sinead.
About Begüm, I am neutral. I agree that, she needs to prove herself in tournaments, such as VNL. It's a shame that, Ayçin disappointed everyone.
I couldn’t watch, why is NL 2-0 down to France? 😳
