After 2025 Chinese National Games in November, Yuan's choice:
1. becomes the teacher or the professor of Nankai University - It is not the same that she will be retired but it is just almost the same that she will be retired from NT.
2. She still hopes to get an offer from an overseas club. At least she truly said it though some fans think her injury is still much and heavy.
3. In theory, she might return Chinese NT in 2026. Some fans think if Chinese NT keeps one old MB, she should be Yuan Xin-yue instead of Wang Yuan-yuan. Of course, before this year's roster being given, we just thought Wang would be retired and Yuan wouldn't.
