    it’s confirmed by team doctor it’s a sprained ankle.

    Although you never know about the knee without scan but she wasn’t feeling any pain in her knee.

    It all depends on how severe the sprain is and if there is any tear, which is what scans will show. Only good news is that swelling on ankle wasn’t big at all and pain stopped shortly after, but again it doesn’t mean much.

    We will see tomorrow.

    I just want to write something and I’m bored.


    I’ve had a lot of changes in personal life and gone through some things after the last few years but one thing that I always look forward to no matter how much they make me wanna rip my hair out is watching the girls play. I just love watching each of them develop and I really just believe it is such a great group of women and easy to root for. This summer has gone far far from how we wanted so far with VNL and now Boskovic going down but I think there is some light at the end of this.


    Do I think we can for sure go and win the championship without her? No. Maybe not even with her it isn’t possible (but I do think absolutely we COULD win full healthy) but I am looking forward to seeing how the girls battle after the injury to their captain and close friend. Uzelac and Ivanovic can take over a match and we will need them to. I really believe we can beat Japan without Boskovic. It’s gonna take a good showing but it can be done. Maybe this will be the pushing point to light even more fire on them and for us to come out very focused. From all reports it seems Boskovic injury is very minor so if we can just get to that qf and she could play I don’t think hope is lost and if she comes back fully healthy maybe it’s a blessing in disguise that uzelac has to shoulder a big load for tomorrow and the round of 16. I’d prefer to play Thailand without Boskovic so hopefully we can beat Japan tomorrow. Bukilic I still believe you have something decent to show here.


    Long story short I still believe in the team and what a story this would make if we can survive until she comes back and we somehow pull off the threepeat :)

    Well, I consider this summer a huge disappointment. It was somewhere to be expected after much of starting line retired from NT, but not like this tbh.


    A few things to take away from both tournaments

    -Mirkovic should retire from NT. I don’t care if she has a few decent games here and there, she is not the setter for this level and this is her ceiling- being decent. It was nice run, she can travel with the team as singer and moral support I guess.

    -Bukilic has no place even as 2nd OP, she can be on wide roster for VNL and that’s all.

    -Milenkvovic should just retire from NT already, for 2 years she has been nothing but tragic whenever she comes in.
    It’s not only their awful shape but also energy.

    Pusic can retire as well for all I care.


    On the other hand, Ivanovic-Uzelac is duo of the future, the one we haven’t had in NT since Spasojevic-Nikolic time and they could be even better then that. I hope both stay healthy, that’s the most improtant thing. This summer was a bih experience for them and I hope this loss doesn’t upset them so much, they were the only bright spots of this team.

    Uzelac stepped up big time when it comes to OOS hits and passing while Ivanovic really improved her defence this summer, she was realiable defender this whole tournament.
    Kurtagic is not in good shape ever since F4 in CL, but I’m not worried about her.


    Jegdic was biggest positive surprise, I thought she is done player after last year and VNL. Happy she found herself.

    Dangubic was a flop and once again proved that no matter how much she can peak at certain times she is overall not starter material in high level.


    Hopefully next year we can build a team that is actually talented, no matter how new.
    Perovic deserved to be starter this summer, no doubt. I hope season in Russia doesn’t turn her into moon ball setter.

    Even with how stubborn Terzic is I believe he will see that we need new setter for this cycle. If Baic is healthy and plays well this season it’s no brainer for me that she should be given chance and big leash to connect with this team next summer. Otherwise if we want it safe Perovic is the most logical option.


    The worst thing that could happen to this team is that Terzic changes nothing next summer..


    All in all I’m still proud of the girls who stepped up to fight, hope this is huge experience for them and they come stronger next year.

    This one hurts

    It sucks they gave their all as youngest in the team and still lost.

    Especially considering how it was up to do everything so they probably blame themselves thinking if they were better they would’ve won…


    Uzelac and Ivanovic played together in club in Serbian league in 2022/23 and it was break out season for both of them. Coming from that to starters and best scorrers of NT in 2 years is incredible story :heart: I hope they continue growing and take this wch as valuable experience for the future.

    it just sucks. What a tragic year. One unlucky thing after the next. Starting VNL 0-8 losing 5 set matches in every way imaginable and then the injuries to uzelac and Boskovic there. Finally a sense of rhythm and life and then Boskovic gets injured against Cameroon and the girls fight but again inexperience shows and they lose their like 9th 5 setter of the summer. Just so heartbreaking
