USA Women's NT 2025

    I find it it confusing how some fans don't want some athletes to come back who are 26-28 but want mccage who is now 32? And will be 35 in LA? I personally don't think age matters but find it funny. I think mccage had a great LOVB season, but let's be honest most of the Olympians did not care about this. There are USA athletes with the experience playing overseas at higher levels having good or greet seasons.

    I dont think thats a fair assessment and is discrediting the work the athletes (olympian or not) put in.

    but also, who are these middles overseas? dana, obviously. but the only other high level middle overseas is Brionne? the rest of them are in LOVB.

    I think it's the same comment other people have made about the league missing that true competitiveness throughout the season...


    Oh my bad, she'll be 34, which again isn't by any means old but I've seen comments about Kelsey (proven Olympian), Frantti (who is younger than 31) etc.


    Rettke, Butler, the middle in cuneo whose name is escaping me, the middle in Mulhouse. Even the middles in LOVB the newbies are doing well too so why not invest more in them?

    I'm not saying don't bring her my argument is people use the age excuse and then conveniently forget it for other people.

    I agree about Kelsey.


    I don't about Frantti. She's made it clear she was done after Paris. And its time for USA to find another solution to an OH who hasn't been great at the NT level since 2022.

    Wasn't there a salary cap, meaning some of these olympics specially the gold medalists were earning way less than overseas? And that the main reason they went to LOVB was trying to establish a strong league at their home country?

    I wonder where those comments come from, or rather if they are referring to the level of LOVB overall rather than the players not taking seriously or not caring.

    There's not a salary cap. Just they couldn't pay them as much (PVF has a salary cap though).


    That and they wanted to be closer to home.


    I think there's two different facets to where the the comments are coming from. I think the most fair is that all the teams made the playoffs, so the regular season had less stakes. (which as someone who watched 95% of the LOVB matches, I never got the vibe that they weren't serious).

    The second facet is from people who are Euro-stans. And will do anything they can to diminish something that could potentially challenge their hierarchy.

    Based off of 2024/2025 I'd take Hentz, Scott and even Rodriguez over Fleck, but sadly...I feel like some nepotism will be part of who starts/makes WCH.

    I like Fleck, but she was inconsistent with Austin. She started quite good, but lost her rhythm during the tournament (and her starting 6 position).


    Are we sure she will be with the NT? Isn't she supposed to get married like in may or june?

    i like adams since imoco days. She likes fast plays but not so good passer. No matter what i want frantti to come back and continue her olympic dream. She didn't announce or anything she is done with the NT yeah? I mean i know names who announced they are done few time but then come back 🫰🤣 plummer is done too?

    She was on Vakif's bench the whole season, she doesn't deserve to be called up.


    If she plays consistently next season, she absolutely deserves to come back.

    She got hurt/injured same with kipp. So you saying kipp doesn't deserve to be called up too? Same goes to other players who were playing not so good this season like kp? Lol last season she was a starter. Even played better than JT with same team carrying the load but unfortunately, she wasn't selected and awarded to be part of the OG. So not sure what's your bases.

    Kipp probably isnt even healthy.


    KP isn't gonna be at VNL anyways.


    Frantti's issue is she hasn't been good since 2022. It's not the case for her competition. Unless you count Bajema lol
