Germany NT 2025

  • How do you determine that she's no longer taking her spot on the national team seriously? Especially based on how she's prepared for the national team season, I think it's more likely that she's taking her spot seriously in every respect.

Sorry but did you not watch a single match with her in it? What did she do after the match with Italy? she was the only one laughing because there were some girls shouting her name while the rest of the team looked stricken with grief. Did you not see Serbia when they got eliminated they were all fucking crying despite the fans while you look at Orthmann and she's celebrating as if she won gold on her own. If you're satisfied with that despite Orthmann not doing anything during the regular season and yes I know it's due to injury all while underperforming then you might as well throw this team's potential away. Call other random 27 year olds from her era back to this team because surely every single one of them are dedicated individuals who are in this national team for the attention of fans

  • ot but i had to unfollow orthmann because she was milking all the attention she was getting. no one panders to the public harder than orthmann and ci michel. there's a time for fanservice which is totally fine but jesus act accordinglyX/

lukasik despite being extremely popular never acted like she was craving attention

No, I didn't see it, partly because that scene wasn't part of the German broadcast. And even if I had seen it, why should I judge her for a possibly incorrect reaction?

For me, what she went through to even be able to play for the national team this year is much more important. After the club season, she had fitness and knee problems. Because of that, she could have simply opted out of the national team season. That wouldn't have put her at any disadvantage in Germany.

But she decided she wanted to play for the national team and so she began a rehab program shortly after the club season and then got fit at USC Münster. So that she could join the national team in good physical shape. No one would do that if a spot on the national team wasn't important to them.

  • She's the same age as Egonu etc. basically a veteran I mean even Pietrini is younger than Orthmann

Also like you guys mentioned and is the whole point of my question, an ACL injury isn't something that fully heals and the toll on the body just to move well is a lot. Anyone that had suffered an ACL will forever be limited. Look at Gattaz, Nagaoka, Kosheleva, Enweonwu just to name a few.

Didn't Julia Kudiess just get an ACL rupture last season? And we saw how she came back this season. Also ilkin had two back to back ACL ruptures in two different knees but she also came back stronger than before. It is one of the worst injuries that can happen to a volleyball player indeed but there are several players who made a big comeback from it
