    Now, this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning. Congrats to Milano in breaking an impressive 18 consecutive national titles by Conegliano and clinching the first Italian trophy of their story. Finally a well-rounded, composed and effective game, even with all that turnaround in OH position. Nice to see Egonu embracing fully her new role as captain and leading valiantly her team to the win, the way Kurtagić plays at just 21 is unbelievable, but credits to the whole team in inverting the historic tendency of letting Conegliano come back from the dead. Some reflections has to be made by Santarelli, starting from Gabi and Zhu Ting completely out of form and coming to the MB unit, absymal at the moment. I've seen some unsual inaccuracies from Wołosz. It would've happened at some point, so I won't press the alarm button yet, but this may be the most vulnerable version of Conegliano in years.

    AT LAST !!! As many people said before , the problem of Milano the last season was mostly MENTAL. The mess left and even with a worst team Milano fought and won. This is the most important thing. They fought. Bosio and Egonu killed it in the tie break!!! Big credits to Cagnin. I hope that Milano will transfer a good defensive OH in the middle of the season. They need it.

    Cagnin is 186 cm height, but she has I think an unathletic physique – there's work to be done. Maybe Nervini will inspire her? Piva is very weak, but I still believe in her. Pietrini, unfortunately, had a terrible match. Someone like Voronkova would be useful at Milano.

    I think we didn't see the best Conegliano today. They were so messy in many moments of the game and many players had a No day. Credit to it goes also to Milano who served really well tactically and defended tons of balls managing to contain an Haak that seemed unstoppable in the first set. Big props to Cagnin, she did the Giovannini of the situation. Congratulation Milano!!!:win::win:

    P.P.S.: Can the federation next time choose a stadium where it feel little bit more neutral to play in? As soon as Milano won it was like the match was being played in a library ffs:mad:

    It's so sad how in today's volleyball, the setters can't feed their MBs same the OHs are so poor.


    Zhu and Gabi were bad, and Wolosz barely used Lubian (3/4, 75%) and Chirichella (5/8, 63%).


    Bosio too, even though Danesi and Kurtagic had worse performance than Conegliano MBs, Hena hit a beautiful shot in the 5th set. Please, Bosio, trust your MB more.

    I never dreamed that Cagnin would be the best OH of the match.

    Gabi and Zhu form is terrible. The Brazilian has the excuse of being tired due to her NT, but the Chinese got plenty of rest.

    now some people blaming who got "plenty of rest", thats not how it works in sports, last year was the olympics and they were unstoppable. Some teams just learn and improve, and study the best team while imoco just stayed the same (or even worse)

    Me as hardcore fan of Imoco, I’m very glad that Milano won CUP after so many of trying. Investing a lot of money and to be always second or 3rd. If I would pick which of 5 CUPs I would let some another Italian club to won it, this is the one.

    She probably is but but Novara already beat Conegliano during the Courmayeur Cup which was technically a test match but it should still count with the 5000 PR ads they ran just for that


    On the other hand, Gabi is in terrible shape right now. No one knows if it's a problem with her thighs, knees or something else...
