Italy - Serie A1 2025/26

  • no one ever follows that rule. gattaz is the biggest example for this. also look at what happened to akimova she rushed into playing also eonwonwu during her first acl injury and then she played earlier than expected and got another acl injury months later :thumbdown:

What matters is that their respective clubs are equipped with the best physiotherapists to make the healing process a lot faster than what the doctor would normally give to normal patients not to underestimate the injuries of course but I'm sure that with them being signed and expected to be ready at some point the pressure for them to literally have a speedy recovery is immense especially with younger athletes who are just as impatient.

From my understanding torn ligaments that require surgery would only need 2 months or less of recovery period the extra 3 months is for preventative measures meaning she can play but there are still limits. Nwakalor had surgery in August.

    You cant rush recovery 🤦

  • Zhu Ting went to China and She is going to come back in begging of December.

Huge opportunity for Sillah to shine.

I’m so happy what She has shown in SuperCoppa, Santarelli should trust her way more in tie break… but okej. Long season is in front of use :D

  • .....

I knew Scandicci wouldn't have shrugged off that easily the beating they suffered against Cuneo, and it showed today in the derby. Firenze knew they were the clear underdogs on paper and played quite relaxed, rallying around Knollema. They took full advantage of the complete mess Scandicci made in the second and third set, they didn't close it out but clearly they moved on from the absymal debut agaist Chieri. I don't know if Sentenza_69 will agree with me, but Malešević is getting better and more involved in the attacks, while Bukilić is still looking a bit of a sitting duck. Signs of recovering a decent form from Villani too. Scandicci managed to work it out in the fading phases of the match, when normalizer Bechis relieved Ognjenović (quite off today) and managed to do simple yet effective things, which helped everybody to get out of the hole. This is a closer version of the Skinner almost everybody expects to see, while among the of the few positives I would mention Weitzel (who's embracing her role quite well) and Graziani's entry.

    .....

Malesevic is definitely a surprise: nothing groundbreaking, but much better than I expected...

Bukilic, too, is more light than shade for now: I expected a total bluff...

As for the others, Knollema is excellent, Valoppi holds the field completely (even if she sometimes collapses from overwork), while Villani and Acciarri are too often struggling and lacking consistency... We haven't seen much of Kacmaz yet, but I believe (hope) that she'll be able to come out...

Morello continues to be unconvincing: absent on defense, yesterday she was the one who held the team back in the fourth set and was unable to rekindle it, setting poorly and making every possible tactical mistake. Chiavegatti even called a timeout just for her in the fourth set, but she was unable to adequately respond.

Anyway, Il Bisonte's standings are excellent: having faced three teams that on paper are superior in their first four games, getting five points is completely unexpected...

But Firenze's real championship starts next Saturday: there are four decisive head-to-head matches (Monviso, Cuneo, Perugia, and San Giovanni) in the next three weeks, and they need to earn important points...

    Let's see, come on...

Anyway, always Forza Bisonte and TATANKA!!!

Akimova returened to the club in December last season. After recovery for some time, she entered the court once as the OPP for double substitution. After that, she never entered the court, not even spiking during the warmup.

They actually trusted her. What went wrong was pairing her with dalderop and sarah fahr was not given another chance in 5th set.

  • My player of the day for this Sunday is Asia Bonelli, Macerata’s setter. She’s able to get the best from all her teammates and is really skilled in defense. We’ve always known in Italy she’s a very talented player but this year could be the one of her real consecration. She’s even finding a way to make Decortes more unpredictable than usual. The opposite has always lacked of power and continuity, but she’s performing quite well with Asia besides her.

  • It has become a norm. Every day there is a serious injury but apparently FIVB must see someone without his legs and arms in order to understand that players are not robots.

I hope that Boldini will return stronger.

What has fivb anything to do with this?:what: she isn't even a NT player. Injuries are part of professional sport unfortunately

Boldini is in the wide roster for NT.

But you're right nothing to do with FIVB as she injured herself by accident during training I think yesterday or this morning. It happens sometimes.

  • According to this article from Oct. 18

    https://www.today.it/sport/vol…gamo-19-ottobre-2025.html

Tolok is dealing with right shoulder subacromial bursitis and is undergoing treatment for it. They didn't give any details on recovery period

Since it doesn't require surgery she'll most likely be back in action after 2 weeks. It happened to Darlan before and he was able to recover pretty quickly

  • Since it doesn't require surgery she'll most likely be back in action after 2 weeks. It happened to Darlan before and he was able to recover pretty quickly

I think that's what everyone in Novara is hoping for...

But when you hear "shoulder injury," the fear is always palpable in the air...

  • Today match between Scandicci and Milano, this should be really interesting !!!

But I can’t wait to watch Conegliano as hard core fan because I want to see how Sillah progress. I was amazed by her in the last match and I have feeling that today She can do amazing stuff if She is gone perform with confidence that I hope so She build in the last match in SuperCoppa…
