Couldn't watch the Conegliano game (ekhm, volleyballworld.tv), but it starts to look scary how great Nervini is at the beginning of the season offensively, once again another game with her attacking super efficiently on strong volume of spikes. If she can maintain this pace, she really may become another great Italian all-round outside hitter and to be honest I've never expected her to reach this level, but here we are, +15 pts per game on +40% attack efficiency in the first six games.

Isabella Haak ones again with 54% in attack and her lowest % this season was 53%

She is for now performing as Egonu with Imoco Conegliano. And I didn’t believe anyone can reach that peak of her

I liked her in Schwerin last season but it's nice to see her adapt to A1 so effortlessly. It seems that Cuneo finally made some good transfers with players that can give a little bit extra (and luckily Signorile/Allaoui understand they need to involve MBs/Keene a lot). For years I didn't mind them being a relegation-fighter but so far they are fun to watch with Keene, Koulisiani, Pucelj, Pritchard and Marring

Thank you very much VBTV for yet another superb day of streaming... Just what the doctor ordered to make mid-week games even more accessible and depriving of some good sleep.
Looking at the box score one would think Scandicci kind of gifted a set to UYBA, en route to a comfortable win. The truth is as long as Parra and Gennari were able to hold the line and Busto Arsizio's serving was putting pressure on Scandicci's passing line, quality of the ball was very good and Seki was able to vary the game quite well. It was brief, but it showed once again how Busto Arsizio can be a dangerous opponent to anybody. After a rocky start of the season, positive game by Franklin as a starter. She was efficient on offence and showed more defence and reception compared to her first outings. Pairing her with Bosetti wasn't a bad idea after all. Weitzel is a great transfer and she's fitting in just right, I'm curious to see how she'll work with Nwakalor when the Italian will be completely healthy.
Slow start from Novara against Monviso, but the visitors were quick to regroup and take a commanding lead in the middle sets. Once again they played a very tidy and balanced game, where Alsmeier, Herbots (starting once again as opposite) and Ishikawa were able to contribute, but great game by Bonifacio too. The late charge from the hosts was clearly hamperd by the numbers of errors, 27 mistakes are way too much if you want to really challenge a strong opponent like Novara. Seated in the dock the trio of Malual, Davyskiba and D'Odorico, but blocking was quite off as well.
I don't want to sound too severe, but I truly believe Chieri lost the opportunity to snatch a point at least against Conegliano. Santarelli decided to rest Gabi and while I didn't mind the pairing of Daalderop and Sillah, Conegliano had to adjust in terms of passing and defence and it showed in the first set. From there the defending champions were able to build a gap, but Chieri never looked like out of contention. The comeback in the fourth was quite spectacular and showed in what a great shape Haak is right now, but credits to Chieri because they're playing some pretty good volleyball. Nervini, just like many of the girls, is another player after her experience in NT, but the whole roster seems so well built.
Guess who forced the lone tie-break of the night... The Cardiac Girlz never disappoint and if they want to keep up entertained for more than two hours and making Sentenza_69 suffer from heart attack, have at it. Once again Cuneo started well and looked on the right path of putting three crucial points in the bag, but yet again light went off from the third set on. The dropping efficiency from the laterals forced Salvagni to change almost everyone, Signorile included. Still, they know a thing or two about American middle blockers in Cuneo, because after Dodson look at the impact Keene is having for the team. I'd like to praise Allaoui's entrance too, it's not easy to relief a veteran like Signorile and be convincing enough to start the decider. She showed some good blocking and defence too.
Credits to Firenze in keeping the match alive after falling 0-2, but I must say they lost the momentum once it seemed to be on their side. A bit of a rollercoaster from Morello, I guess she has to be more stable, but the toughest day in Italy so far for Bukilić didn't help. Villiani wasn't that good either, thus I was supriesed to not see Tanase having some playtime.
Vallefoglia got the best of Bergamo and won a match which both teams much needed to win. Just a lone good set for the visitors, the first one, from there there was little to save. I didn't expect to see both Cesé and Kipp drop their efficiency so much, but I must say the whole attack was little effective and the whole vibe from the team was bad. Vallefoglia played much closer to level they want and expect to have, Bartolucci was back as a starter and while not spectacular, relying a bit too much on Bici, was regular at least. Much better performance from Omoruyi and signs of improvement in terms of blocking.

She's really evolving wonderfully even her spike form is different now

Confident is the key. And She builded that at WCH.

Meu deus it's so over for Consolini they can't even get past Macerata...
Zero wins. Not a single set won. It's all eggs

didn't watch but that has to be some kind of record now? 0 pts after 7 games. i mean macerata is an opponent their level and yet they couldn't even get 1 set in?

good bye -
Yikes
I feel bad for those girls but they have Bellano as coach, an aging Ortolani who refuses to stop and no decent reinforcements. Parini seriously? they spent most of their money signing Straube and then Kochurina. Brancher btw is just awful. I'm sorry but she should try Korea instead.

I think she actually got worse when she came to Italy but she's paired with their other setter -
It's a pity Perugia still hasn't got a reserve OH to let the starters rest a bit, today a player like Cagnin would've come in handy for sure. They're playing some solid volleyball but milking dry both Gardini and Perinelli might prove costly against teams like Bergamo, Cuneo or Firenze to name a few. I think Milano can be happy about Lanier establishing as trustworthy second fiddle to Egonu, but more so about Pietrini getting better and better from match to match. When they had to recover they did it quite well too, so things are going in the right direction for them.
You guys said everything about San Giovanni in Marignano and I won't be the one shooting fish in a barrel, so I'd like to praise once again Macerata and their efforts on blocking, defence and execution. The award-winning company KK Limited led by Kokkonen and Kockarević is working well for them and Bonelli is doing a good job in running the team. It won't be easy, but they have a solid chance to avoid relegation.
-
Does San Giovanni's deal with Fener include players? does anyone know? because at the level they're in and with Bracchi as their last hope to score for the team, they might as well withdraw from A1 now just saying

There's no mention of that specifically but they did state during the presscon that it's a team where Fener can access talent and also build talent so it probably goes both ways but the when part is the real question

It looks like everything's questionable now

Omoruyi has also had some good games recently, especially in attack. Pietrini is slowly recovering, but I don't know if Velasco will want to call her up for the NT again.

I think the idea was that Fenerbahçe would transfer some young foreign and Turkish players to them next season if they would survive serie A. But the way it goes so far, they will relegate and I think the deal will be out of table. It was a very weird deal anyways🤦

Sillah got really nice opportunity after Zhu went to China, but I have to be honest She is not delivering at all.
After I saw her at SuperCoppa and what a crazy angel She was hitting and how strong She is. I was blown away. But I haven’t seen that Sillah in any game that She played
I was expecting her development, but for now it is not happening….
She has huge ceiling, that is fact. But She need to prove herself, especially know.
Zhu is gone easily take her starting spot back. -
crazy angel
Irrelevant for this universum but wondering how many years you will need to realise that angel and angle isn't the same thing.
