i love ishikawa but how can a player with huge physical disadvantages like her able to work in italian/turkish league, she needs a very fast setter and a defense system that can cover when soneone go over her block, basically a japanese system not...this lol
Werk at her being physically limited but still the better OH in Novara's pool and definitely one of the more reliable OHs in the Italian league...

Last year she was doing very good, even against strong opponents. For me she was working good with Bosio, although there was a rumour that ishikawa didnt find the best connection with her. She is generally a complete Oh so fair enough imho to be starter in good teams

Not true... at all. Before Seki, Ishikawa worked flawlessly with Miya Sato before her spine injury and then Tominaga both of whom aren't the fastest setters even with their clubs especially at Hitachi, Sato was always pacing it.
Cambi was just not hitting the right tempos in the match vs Conegliano and obviously any setter would look horrible against Wolosz whose signature we're all too familiar with.
It has nothing to do with Ishikawa not being able to adjust to a different system.
it's about time novara moves on from alsmeier they can't have 2 underperforming mediocre OHs with herbots likely staying forever with that team and Ishikawa departing. we're still not even sure whether or not barbolini will follow through with tolok's desire to play oh if ever that happens they're going to be even more unstable.

Today Bechis and Antropova seem more like Wolosz and Haak than their real self. This fast and accurate style make Kate being UNSTOPPABLE.
This is the most stupid double sub to take out Antropova. Antropova at the back row is definitely a bigger threat and more effective scorer than Ruddins at the front row.

Bechis is AMAZING
Mentality makes such a difference for some players. I knew Marta would be a huge upgrade over any back up setter Scandicci had lately.
I just can imagine how Bechis is enjoying right know. Completely unexpectedly she is playing play off semi final, after 2 decades being around but almost always as supporting role. To begin with that she wasn't original Scandicci choice. She and her team survived big threat in CL QF, and today it isn't "just" about surviving, she is playing really good without discussion.
