Japan - SV.League Women 2025-2026

  • Gia Day also has that high RBI thing going on

    damnit

  • Love that pipe attack is a big thing these days. In NEC/SAGA all six pins are piping

  • I just remembered Queenseis and Gunma are having their first matches today. Watching this to see how they are using their foreign players.

Queenseis is using Cuttino and Scholzel. They can't use Kuznetsova with them given foreign player rules. Gunma can use all 3 foreign players because the 3rd one is 4T

  • I don't know what was up with Kurobe/Yasuda that 4th set I watched, but she was so predictable with her OH ball even though those girls kept getting blocked. And then the one time I've seen her set Iris, it was an impossible set for her on pos 3 :hit:

But in better news: I like Mingardi's new hair colour  it fits with the jersey really well

Kurobe flies aimlessly and then someone gets lost, like Yasuda in that set. But they are fun to watch, and they are doing pretty well. I can see them as a top 8 team

    and ...

... they win the tie break :box: :cheesy:

  • I think this is the 2nd time already Aoi Hata has gotten the sack of potatoes . She's playing well :rose:

  • Momii got injured on Saturday’s game. https://nishispo.nishinippon.c…icle/954357#goog_rewarded

she was misstepped trying to get towards a ball, but was behind the middle blocker on a Springs overpass.

She tried to move afterwards, but was in pain.

I am wondering if it is some ACL/MCL/PCL injury because she was carried off the court.

  • Iris Scholten :rose:

First of all, she's pretty decent defensive player. She stays aware that defense is still going on until it's time for offense. Most imports don't do that. Second, she's not afraid of the floor

Her match winning shot last night was brilliant. She is really good with dead balls. Looks across the net, sees where everyone is leaning and swats the ball to some open real estate. She does that kind of thing all the time. Lovely stuff

Kurobe is still fun this year. Rimi Kaneda is looking a lot better than her numbers and Aoi Hata ... It's a mystery why she isn't full time. I think it's Iris Scholten's fault

  • Sofya Kuznetsova has a curious hair control system

  • Position Movement through Matches of November 2, 2025

Saitama with 2 wins could move into 3rd place.

Astemo could be anywhere from 7th to 11th with their next match result.

  • Wada has a left ankle injury, that was announced on the Oct 11th by Daily Sports, which had happened 2 weeks earlier.

She has not played in a match this season, so still probably recovering from that. Not that NEC has missed her.

4T played in 7 of the 8 matches for Gunma.

Was not in lineup on Sunday, but played on Saturday, so possibly Coaches decision.

  • I didn't realise Donphon Sinpho injured herself badly in a match between her team Aranmare and Queensies Kariya on Sunday.

    ;(

she spiked at the net (not near it), but landed on her left foot first. Barely had the right foot to the ground.

Grabbed below her left immediately after falling to the ground. Was taken off the court on a stretcher.

I would just say from the brief look of her rotating swing, she never seemed to land on both feet at the same time.

Biomechanics there would probably cause the knee to buckle at some point.

She injured her right knee before, but not as serious as this injury on the left side. It's quite sad that this happened so early in her career, she's only 21 :|
