    It's hard to understand Scandicci's transfer market right now: after losing Antropova, they're moving in a rather confusing manner, and even the rumors circulating make it hard to make sense...

    Not that this is anything new: in the end, it's just Scandicci acting like Scandicci...

    Anyway, Bosetti signed a very hefty two-year contract last year, so either someone buys it out, or she'll be wearing the SdB jersey next year too...

    At the same time, SdB is trying everything it can to bring home Nervini (who is under contract with Chieri) and Julia B.

    This season their roster was the one that made most sense in whole decade of scandicci history and it seems like from now on it all will go downhill for them. Without quality local players they will struggle again even with 4 foreigners rule in Italy

    I agree with all of you. Unfortunately Scandicci's team as it is, is built in a way that Antropova's decision to leave ''destroys'' all their system. They can not replace her only with just another OPP. In case things remain as they are and they will go with Kiera as their main OPP, it is impossible to keep Bosetti as starter. I have a big respect towards her, she was amazing in the past, but despite taking a second opportunity ( and she is much better than the previous season and generally she is decent) it is clear that she is not back.

    Two years ago Conegliano's 4th OH was Gennari and they won everthing.

    Trading for Daalderop might make sense, but somehow I don't see Bosetti accepting a reserve role like Gennari did back then, even if it's in Conegliano.

    I'm sure Cate Bosetti would rather be Conegliano's 4th defensive OH than Nervini's backup in Scandicci.

    Scandicci has a phenomenal foundation and it will be a massive shame if they let it all crumble. While it's true that losing Antropova is a giant setback, their most urgent position is OH (even though you'll never replace Antropova in one season). If they could get Tolok or a big bet on Akimova, who is proven in the league, and even KVR would do a good job. An offensive OH is their biggest hole (and to a lesser degree MB). Bosetti/Franklin are just not effective offensively enough and it leaves too big a burden for Skinner.

    As things stand, all the transfer rumors about Firenze seem confirmed and are widely considered a done deal.

    The next coach will be Alessandro Orefice, currently the head coach of Slovenia and Levallois Paris Saint-Cloud, with whom he won the last two French League titles...

    Jennifer Boldini (S), Paulina Damaske (OH), and Bianca Cugno (O) will arrive, and Alice Tanase (OH), Sofia Valoppi (L), and a couple of other players will be confirmed from the current roster...

    While we wait to see what the rest of the team will look like, it's clear that Firenze, especially compared to the last three or four seasons, wants to significantly change its pace on the transfer market and is building a team to try to stay in the upper-middle of the standings, maybe even just behind the big four...

    The name that stands out most is certainly Cugno, who would be hard to imagine being linked to Firenze...

    The Argentine opposite hitter, is certainly one of the top prospects in the position (already just behind the six or seven big O's) and she's being eyed by many major clubs... She's a player, given her technical and physical characteristics and her price range, who definitely doesn't fit the category Il Bisonte seemed to be in...

    Frankly, I don't know what to say: either "fresh money" has arrived from one or more new sponsors, or even Il Bisonte has entered the orbit of some big team that will use it as a "testing and development ground" for players they deem interesting...
