when was the last time germany hosted isnt it about time they hosted
C'mon Serbia let's go again![]()
it still blows my mind how much livelier Canadian crowds are compared to Americans. Very solid volley community. Glad they're hosting again.
Norceca kinda leaked it last December. Brazil, Turkey, China, Hong Kong, USA, Japan, and Canada

I couldn't find it on their website
tomen do you know which arena it will likely be held?
English: Macau East Asian Games Gymnasium
nickname: Macau Egg
Portuguese: Nave Desportiva Dos Jogos Dasia Oriental De Macau

Only European hOST turkey?? While half of participants are European 🤦

Our federation doesn't have any money
The last time we hosted a preliminary week is at least 7-8 years ago, I'm not even sure if it was already VNL or still WGP era.

The format of the tournament hasn't changed. So we have nine hosts in the preliminary round, but only seven have been named here. That means two are still missing. If these are two European cities, then it's exactly the same as last year.
Our federation lied to us that we are hosting 3 years in a row and one final tournament.
But Gyula was now like, "i hope" they will give as a 3rd week. They are so shady.
Does anyone know the bidding process for VNL? fire_erik_sullivan ?

The VNL last stopped in Germany in 2019. The women's tournament was in Stuttgart and the men's in Leipzig. I think I've mentioned that before. If Germany hosts the VNL again, it will likely be for the men's tournament first. The men's national team is currently larger than the women's.
Matthias is absolutely right. Our federation doesn't have the money or the capacity to host the VNL. The company the federation outsources for such events has been insolvent for several years. So, the FIVB would have to do something like they do in the USA—plan the VNL here in Germany themselves—but I think the market is too small for that.

Impossible to navigate. They don't even have their own search bar. The website is stuck in 1992

This is understandable. The women's team are just now regaining progress post-Lippmann and with Weitzel, Alsmeier, Cekulaev having a good season it's only going to improve their exposure as well as the public's familiarity with the players. So sad for Orthmann she really tanked. But also Straube is a hidden gem and both her and Grozer are undeniably popular.

Supposedly bids for 2025-2027 were due in 2024. https://en.volleyballworld.com…-hosting-vnl-2025-to-2027
The minimum hosting fee for preliminary stages is $100,000.... for finals its $1.8m
I couldn't find anything re: the other hosts on the NORCECA website. the only link I found in general was a Filipino fan page. (the norceca page could've been deleted)
