Did she mention anything about other setters? or good setters from the younger/new generation that deserves attention?
I included the timestamp from the video where it starts with the man asking her what about the next generation of setters who in her opinion are good
Maja first mentions Orro
Then she says when she was in Turkey there are setters like Osbay, Elif and this other young setter - Dilay.
She does not expand on the topic but instead emphasizes the difference between her generation and the current.

Correct me if I'm wrong but this has to be the first time she's ever mentioned Orro lol and I feel like if it wasn't for Orro winning MVP during WCH I doubt it would even cross her mind because WTH does she really believe that

I can't answer for Maja but as the interviewers were talking in the vein of "Champions" before that question, I feel like out of respect she included Orro.
-
If Orro stayed flopping at Milano I doubt Maja would even care to mention her
still ...yikes -
proof of just how irrelevant bosio and cambi are in their respective teams and orro paving the way for mediocrity coming from milano. she did her best of course we can give her credit where credit's due but to think of her as a setter at that level is ludicrous. in the next 2 years she'll be worse than malinov.

Thanks for the info!

still ...yikesVargas also praised Orro in her interview with Volley News... I forgot what she said about Orro but it was positive. Unfortunately this is Orro's era.
I don't think Velasco has even said anything remarkable about Orro tbh

TB fair, it's Italian journalist, so she said orro

I guess she just knows how difficult it is for a setter to lead your team multiple times to the biggest trophies, so she at least respects Orro, regardless of to what extent (a big one in general, lol) Orro tends to be overrated by some.
-
Nah she just said what they wanted to hear. Maja's interviews are almost always meaningless or even ignorant.

Interview was with Italian media, she didn't have to mention about Elif or Dilay

Hurry up and release the roster

Hurry up and release the roster

Roster will be very much simular like last year

Roster will be very much simular like last year
There were rumors in ossrb linked podcast that this year there will be new players who were kinda “ignored”, likely ncaa players, iirc.
We might see Vajagic, Krickovic, Zelenovic, Sucurovic, Mateska, maybe Kujundzic.
Libero position will be interesting. Gocanin was basically the only younger option noticed by Terzic during his last years in 2019-2021. Now Punisic is signed by SB Community and she might get a call.. rightfully so, I think she is the best “young” libero from our league.Ofc in the end Terzic will focus on 18-20 players roster like he did last year and everyone else will go home after 1-2 weeks of preparations.
The roster will 90% look something like this
Perovic, Miljevic, MirkovicBoskovic, Bukilic, Taubner, Zelenovic
Uzelac, Ivanovic, Dangubic, Tica, Cajic, Milenkovic, Vajagic
Aleksic, Kurtagic, Kirov, Popovic, Malesevic, Cikuc
Jegdic, Pusic, Gocanin, Punisic
I’d like to see Krickovic, Obucina, Sucurovic, Zigic, but I don’t think they are on Terzic’s radar.
I’m afraid we might see Jaksic, Mijatovic, Cvetkovic and Milojevic for no reason… -

Cvetkovic will be there 99,9%.
After Mijatovic she's the next one from Tent's school of "talents" that will need to be sold abroad to some poor, unsuspecting club.
-
I’m interested in Krickovic. Her setting style at Indiana was the fastest offense I’ve ever seen lol. She did it really well but Serbia could and would never ever play that fast
-
As we said, we will stay in China between week 1 and week 2.
We will have another mini tournament 10-14th June against clubs Jiangsu and Guangdong.

She is rly fun to watch but I feel like her limitations are too big for her to play like this in any serious level above Serbian league level.. which is such a shame.
