Let's start with the bad news: Nika is walking with crutches in a video I saw on Conegliano's IG. She sustained the injury in the last point of the 4th set in Saturday's CL semifinal. I hope it won't affect her summer with the national team too much
What's the libero situation? is there a better option this time?

Jup she returned to her former team Dynamo Apeldoorn. She said in an interview that going to the states was worth the risk, but on second thought it wasn't really her thing. She couldn't really settle there and missed her family and friends.
She was/is a big prospect here, but I guess Felix wants to see more of her

Best option would be Hester Jasper if she's healthy again. But:
- She needs to develop and train more to be comfortable on libero position
- Needs to fully commit and be motivated (which potentially is not the case since she has always been OH)
Pippa Molenaar is a talent playing in the Bundesliga. I hope to see her making some VNL minutes this year

She played but was underwhelming imo compared to how she played for Dynamo last season. I hope she'll be back stronger next season if she's with the same team from the start!
Opposite will be interesting to see how they developed compared to last summer. Nicole as starter and becoming champions in Romania, and Elles was doing good vs. lower teams when she got to play - however not doing anything special vs. the top teams. Still, practicing on that level will have hopefully helped her in taking another step upwards. Jelsma had an injury this season and did not always play, so I think she's just there for U22 purposes.
I would love to see Pippa as well, she has the leadership skills that I miss in Reesink but I think she is also mostly there for the U22 squad (same as Meijer lol she is not even a possibility for a debut imo). Also I reaaally want to see Wessels make her debut in VNL even if it's just as a service sub, she deserves it

There were rumors about her going to ŁKS Łodź, but I saw recently an instagram post with Chieri's predicted roster and she was assigned there

One season on the bench okay, but 2 seasons is just absurd! Polish league would have been perfect for her...
For the libero position I have a little hope Koslowski will finally see Reesink isn't good enough after a bad season in Schwerin. Hope Hester Jasper is healthy enough to play and has time to develop in the position of a libero. I don't think it's nessasery she will also play libero in club season, because Stam-Pilon only played libero for NT and she was our best libero we had in recent years! Maybe Hester Jasper as receiving libero and Molenaar as defensive libero will be a good option to try!
I am curious which selection we will see during VNL, especially what the experienced players will do!
I would like to see some more of Konijnenberg, so Bongaerts and van Aalen could get some rest. For Knollema and Marring it will be good to play VNL after missing a year with NT, but it should be responsible considering their health! Same goes for Baijens.... Timmerman should play VNL after being on the bench most of the time in Galatasaray.

I really can't see the likes of Strikwerda, Pip Kok and Meijer being with the VNL squad yet, imo they will be in the core group for U22 (Wessels, Molenaar and Jelsma as well but for them I could see them make a VNL week appearance if it fits their schedule). I wonder if someone like Gerritsen will join the U22 team as well, she played most youth tournaments with Roos/Luna/Pippa so she would fit in well.
I also hope Dagmar will go abroad 
at least if she wants to have a potential future in NT, because I don't think she can grow in Eredivisie anymore. All OOS sets go to OH here, the girls needs to practice playing vs. a proper opposite

Based on her Instagram post she will stay unfortunately... I would have liked to see her play in a lower level team in Turkey or Italy

I wanted her in a better league as well but she must be happy there.
Well everyone on the longlist was at the photoshoot yesterday! Curious who will be in the team for the friendly matches against Germany this weekend
Yeah I'm surprised we haven't heard anything, they are usually quite on top of informing us. I follow a fair share of the girls on IG but also there no clear indication who is in the gym already and who might have a break first. All I saw was some girls celebrating 5th May together 
hopefully they will post something soon
