According to German media, at least one player is confirmed to be participating. The Westphalian News is already reporting on Pippa Molenaar's "guest appearance in her home arena", and she is quoted as saying, "I'm already excited. This will be something special for me." Therefore, it can be assumed that she is a confirmed player.

Yay Pippa!
I wonder if we will see more of the U22 squad then like Jelsma, Strikwerda, S. Dambrink, Wessels etc (and perhaps go more towards A-team for the matches in NL) -
The friendlies this weekend against Germany will be streamed on YouTube. Links and roster can be found at the bottom of the article.
Interestingly Van der Pijl is listed as middle blocker?? I wonder if that is a mistake

So that's basically a B team
Germany is also missing some players but has more of their regular players available than NED.About Van der Pijl, it might be an interesting experiment to try her as MB. IMO she won't get anywhere as OH, she's only tall and clumsy.

Just checked the article and she's listed as OPP now, which makes more sense seeing we only got Dambrink, vd Vosse and Jelsma on the long list. Hopefully Strikwerda will get some playing time, I'm curious to see how she's holding up on this new level
so it's mostly U22 + girls who didn't get a lot of playing time during their season -
Is Van Aalen not doing the friendly in Germany? Her instagram update is a Harry Styles concert

Some remarks after this weekend:
- Dambrink and Timmerman need to play the first two weeks of VNL to get back in shape, they looked a bit lost this weekend but I'm sure they can get there again
- Marring is back

- Molenaar, Strikwerda and Jelsma proved that they are worth investing in for the future. Decent to good performances by them!
- vd Pijl looks like a lovely girl but I think it should stay with these test matches... She was a liability in block despite her height, and her overall movements looked awkward
- Wessels is a short MB so in the long run that might harm her for NT chances, BUT imo her court awareness and movements are (a lot) better than Gerritsen. I hope Felix sees this and gives her chances to develop in the next years
- Vos, Kuipers, Savelkoel and Konijnenberg were fine imo, I don't think they'll be able to sneak into ECH roster but I can see them in VNL when others get rest.
- Meijer looked quite confident on court which I find impressive at her age. She is also used in U22 ECH promo but with Pippa there I'm curious if she'll go back to OH or if she might make the switch to libero!

- Marring is back

any idea where she will play next year. Staying with Cuneo?

I don't see anything confirmed, although Cuneo posted on IG Koulisiani and Pucelj being selected for their NTs and nothing about Nova so I kinda assume she's leaving? Hope she will go somewhere she can play as starter, although I also didn't mind Cuneo for her - with other (young) talents
-
I hope we see something better in the friendly NED is hosting because the last 2 days were so bad they could make France look like Brazil in comparison. I’m talking about France’s friendly w/ Italy which they also lost twice…..
-
Nika sustained a quite serious injury in CL semifinal, she will miss a large part of the summer.
Marrit Jasper decided to take the summer off after consulting with the coaching staff

Oh no!
Even though Daalderop and Jasper did not have the best seasons in their career, their experience and leadership would be beneficial seeing how the team played last weekend. I wonder who is gonna step up as leader now, it must be between Sarah/Britt (or Hester if she's able to play full-on).Jansen!!! This is your chance to prove your worth as a "defensive" OH
let her and Knollema be the new OH duo to start with -
Curious to see if Felix will call substitutions

With Daalderop gone, Van Aalen deserves to take over as captain

Yes I think Van Aalen was captain in some early friendlies last year. I agree she should be "interim" captain as for with most girls I don't see that natural leader quality (yet). Molenaar is a great captain for the youth team but Felix could never play her over Reesink (and H. jasper)

-
Really bad news, basically our starting outside hitter duo from last years is missing... Hopefully Knollema is fully healthy and is able to play. I think Marring should start next to her, but also her health and shape is questionable... Otherwise indeed Jansen is the best option to stabilize reception.
