La+ = la más (...)= the most (...) = the best

Tenerife has lost against Aguere (other team of the same island) 2-3. This season, they have lost against this team in first round . This season, Aguere is the Tenerife's beast.

The big surprise in this Cup Tournament was the Tenerife elimination by Voley Sanse in the quarterfinales. Voley Sanse also won in semifinals powerful Swienewicz's Icaro Palma.

really horrible set score for Tenerife

The next season foreign player's limitation has put Spanish volley clubs and National federation into shock. Following the new FIVB regulation, only 3 foreign players in rosters and 2 in court at the same time might be the end of good club results in European Cups. Right now in Spanish SFV and SVM are very unusual rosters with more than one or two spanish players really playing matches. The consequence is a general level downshifting in NT, especially in Women's NT.

Next season it will be necessary really improve the schools of volley and the Federation and clubs must be more confidents about their spanish youngsters. We all hope this normative will improve medium-term the NT level despite some years of poor results in European Cups. What is more, years of expensive transfers searching foreign players (not always top level players) put the clubs into a very bad economic situation and a big number of young spanish players had left their loved sport.

It sounds a litlle bit dramatic.......I'm very sorry. This is the real thing.

Quick update on Tenerife: With the current state of the club, they have changed head coaches. Belgian coach Jan De Brandt takes over the head coaching duties for the rest of the season. The club is also looking to possibly bring in a new player.

This loss surprises me. Losses against Perugia, Icaro, Aguere I can understand. But now to Burgos as well? Tenerife should be much better than this
