    "Great start into the saison for the VfB Friedrichshafen: The triple winner of 2007 won with a 3:0 result against the Hamburg Cowboys in front of 2.050 spectators.
    Christian Pampel was the best scorer with 23 points and had a great start into the saison as well.


    „It was a pretty good match for us, considering that we trained for only one week all together", saif VfB-Coach Stelian Moculescu.


    Christian Pampel: „We won 3:0 - what else can you ask for. I think we can be satisfied with our first match"


    Hamburgs Coach Bernd Schlesinger: „I was really nervous before that match. But we presented ourselves pretty well. Our aim was reaching 60 points - we reached 57."
    Moculescu agreeing: „Hamburg showed themselves from a good side", but also adding: „No one from us had to show their ultra-game."

    First big surprise in Haching

    The team of Generali Haching imagined something different: A victory against the Moerser SC in the first Bundesliga match, that should have given power and confidence for the next tasks. But it went differently.
    The Moerser SC won in 3 sets in Haching and showed that they want to play an important role in this years' championship.


    For Generali Haching it was the 2nd damp already, losing to Kraljevo (SRB) in the Challenge Cup was the first.
    It seems that coach Mihai Paduretu was right with his prognose, saying: "This will be the hardest Bundesliga- Saison of all times."

    Hm, I don't know much about the german volley, I think the sport is not so popular there, the national team is not bad, but still is far away from the best teams. :)

    yeah... volleyball is pretty unpopular here. It's all about football and now also Handball. But at least there are some great volleyball players...
    And who knows, if there will be some progress in the game of the teams the sport might become more popular. I hope so at least


    BTW, i also dont know much about the german leagues, but i hope by updating the results and some news, we all will learn more about it :wink2:

    Define me "medal threat", maybe 6th or 7th place, or something more. So, according to me these are the top teams in the world at the moment: BRAZIL, BULGARIA, POLAND, RUSSIA, ITALY, FRANCE, SERBIA, USA, CUBA - maybe Spain and Finland, but for now they are just good teams. Next to Spain and Finland we can put Germany, although Spain and Finland achieved more in the near future. :)

    Germany won against France and Cuba in the last WCH, they won against Serbia and France at the ECH, they won three times against Spain during the the European League this summer.


    They're lacking regularity, but they already prove that they were able to beat very good teams. France is lacking the same quality right now, if you're considering that France has a medal potential, you should consider the same for Germany.
