    Unilever won! :woohoo:
Maracanãzinho wasn't able to receive more than 5000 people. Air conditioning wasn't working (maybe cause of Sassá's breathlessness). Maracanãzinho's complex is under reconstruction on account of 2014 World Cup.

MVP - Amanda. Ok, you did a great job in the end of 2nd set!
Best scorer - Sarah Pavan: 16 pts.

Hey, Osasco, now is your turn! Go Uni! :super:

    GS Caltex 3:1 Hyundai (25:17, 23:25, 25:18, 26:24)

Best scorer - Bethania de la Cruz: 36 pts [33 (54,10%)WS, 2 aces, 1 block]
It was a polemic decision by referee in the end of 4th set. Hyundai's coach complained (isn't first time! ). IMO referee was right.
GS Caltex did a lot of defensive mistakes.

One more victory and they are in the final. :super:

    Vôlei Amil/Campinas 0: Sollys/Osasco (19:25, 16:25, 20:25)
    MVP - Fabíola
Fernanda Garay - 15 points (12 winning spikes, 3 winning blocks, 10 perfect defensive actions).

Good interviews after match. Some Osasco's players ask Fabíola for NT. She talked about staying out during Olympic Games. Then, Zé Roberto criticized CBV policy about players ranking. He said we can't expected other teams in the final with this policy. Sponsors think a lot before doing investiments in this situation.

Vasileva said she wanna stay in Brazil next season.

    Congrats, Osasco! Go Uni! :super:

GS are playing Hyundai on Saturday. About this match:

GS and Hyundai played 6 times on regular season. Each team won 3 matches.

    GS
best scorer: Bethania de la Cruz (554 points, 45,74%).
    best player: Bethy:win:.

    Hyundai
    best scorer: Jana Matiasovska-Aghayeva (610 points, 45,13%).
best player: Yang Hyo-Jin :win: . 476 points (338 winning spikes, 100 blocks and 38 aces). Great numbers for a MB.

Watching Sesi v Canoas, cant understand what is going on but firstly 2 yellow cards in the space of less than 15 minutes? What the hell??? Also lights suddenly go out during the match?? Can anyone explain what is going on? The most bizarre thing I've ever seen :what:

It was a tense match. Sesi could be eliminated and Canoas could qualified to semi-finals. Both teams complaining referees. That case, the referee gave a yellow card to Cléber (Sesi's OH) and Paulão (Canoas's coach). They're discussing a lot. About lights: well, technical problems again. It wasn't first time. CBV must be severe on those situations, punishing clubs. :hit:

Anyway, congrats Sesi! You are still not playing so well, but you fought till the end! :drink:

I wish to see Hui in Rabita, I know Chinese players can play abroad after retiring NT. However, I think Rabita management can persuade Chinese Federation. Cuban federation allowed some players to play in Russia. We have communist past also, so I think maybe Chinese Federation can allow Hui to play in Europe^^

I wish too, but I'm not so optmistic like you. Anyway, I would like to be wrong about it.

No please, I dont understimate Gabi at all..I do think she is very promising player...but...I think one thing is going there playing a tournament and coming back..another very different is to stay there for a hole season...and for what I've follow so far in volleyball, brazilians, with some exceptions, of course, tend to have troubles living in different countries and can't produce the same. Its gets even harder when you have to face all the time big blocks and strong phisical teams. Im not saying that If she go there (and yes, she is definetly cheaper), she would for sure go bad or nothing like that, just saying its quite risk for a team like Eczacibasi, that is always fighting for titles to bet in a player like her, speacially being that young. that is all. ;) I thikn that kind of risk is more for teams with not much to loose and less pressure. ;)

Ok, Joana, I don't wanna discuss with you about it. I understand your point of view. And as Unilerver's supporters I'm pretty sure both you and me don't want her leaving Brazil to play abroad. ;) Let's let European clubs solve their own problems without cause problems fo us. :D If they wanna a brazilian player, I have now a better idea: they could take some Osasco players to Europe!!! :rolll: Just joking...

I dont think Gabi or Ellen would be good choices...they indeed making a great brazilian league..but volleyball in Europe is much more physicly demanding, and they are both quite short players...so I dont know..Eczacibasi is a team with big names always...I think would be unsure to try them...specially cause brazilians have real hard time adapting other countries, so it is always another thing to think about.

about Kozuch, Id really love to see her here, but unless Sheilla or Pavan leaves...I think she lost the chance to come to play here. And Kasia, I think she would only come to play with Zé again.

Im almost sure Logan will be leaving Unilever next season..so Im hoping Unilever invest in some foreigner MB!

But Joana, Gabi has Caterina Bosetti's height (1.80) and Bosetti is playing really well in Europe. Look at Ecz roster. Esra Gümüs is 1.82 meters tall, only 2 centimetres taller. Do you think Gümüs is better than her? And I bet Gabi is quite cheaper. Sokolova seems tired and is 35 years old. Gabi is 18, very young and Ecz needs it. Today, she's physically in a better shape than Sokolova. Senna Usic is 26 and 1.90m. But I'm almost sure Gabi is more consistent in all rudiments. So, what Ecz could lose with this transfer? Nothing. I'm not talking about a big transfer to Ecz: Kim, Garay, etc. I'm only talking about a good brazilian transfer that could improve their roster without waste a lot of money. :win: About play in Europe: did you watch Gabi playing against Russia, Italy and Cuba last year in Yeltsin Cup? After her performances in Unilever and Brazil B, I think we can't underestimate her.

Garay is a passionate girl, she would fit Vakıf very well

If you wanna a good OH player, Brazil is a country for you, but I doubt they wanna leave Brazil. Next Olympic Games will be here and players that are performing well wanna probably stay. But how "you will not die if you try", Garay is a good choice. Today, she is one of the bests in the world and in a good shape. Ecz could try Gabi, Unilever's player, or Ellen from Pinheiros. I think is difficult for them leave Brazil with their age, but they are cheap, young and they are performing well.

Teams rank after regular season (30 matches each team):
    Win, Lose, Points
    1. IBK 25, 5, 73
    2. GS 21,9,62
    3. Hyundai 16, 14, 50
    4. EX 17, 13, 48
    5. Heungkuk 6, 24, 22
    6. KGC 5, 25, 15

Hyundai is qualified cause points is first criterion. I really disagree. For me victories must be the most important.

    Today matches:
    KGC 3:2 Heungkuk - Whitney: 28 points.
EX 3:1 Hyundai - Nicole Fawcette: 40 points. Hyundai played with his regular players only in first set.

    Now is playoff time!

Kurihara's right knee is hurt and she's been out since the game on March 2nd. Seeing as that she had surgery on the left previous, this may not be a good sign for her future.

I hope that it is not a major injury and has been a good player for Okayama this year. She leads the V-League in Serving Efficiency and is 9th in points scored.

I hope too. Knee injuries sucks... Bad luck! She is probably the most useful Okayama's player.
