Well, Japan had a good run in WGP 2010 but I think they used up all their powers for the entire long tournament. They should have defeated Poland easily but I can see them being exhausted from doing battle after battle and beating formidable opponents one after the other. I can see Saori's swing tired and weary, their feet heavy unable to pick up bullet like spikes like what they did earlier in the tournament. However, congratulations Japan and good luck tomorrow against the strongest of them all USA. Japan is still a cool team to root for.... next stop is WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!

OMG!
Two of my favorite teams (USA and Japan) won their respective games..... It is still possible for Japan to catch up.... I am confident they can beat Poland but they have to win against USA who is the big elephant in the house.
BTW..... the USA can smell this year's WGP title already with China and Japan as their remaining assignment. Oh I am liking this year's WGP.... I am enjoying the games pretty much and my favorites are leading the tournament and displaying a delightful volleyball.

Saori and Ebata weren't effective against China today.... I was expecting they can beat China easily but the spikers aren't powerful enough to complete the play and then score. Also, there are not enough attacking combinations going on with Japan so their attack can be very predictable and gets blocked easily by the Chinese. Plus, their defense is not as solid as yesterday's.
Now the USA have the edge to win this whole thing and I was expecting this all the time. Still supporting Japan's campaign though and hope they will do well on their remaining 3 matches. GO GO GO Japan and also USA!!!!!

I disagree..... USA is a very good team and they got very strong blockers...... look what they did to Italy today.... it was a massacre. To add to that, remember what Italy did to Brazil in the first round. So it goes like this....
USA > Italy > Brazil
Those strong spikes from Brazil will be going right back at them.... but we shall see tomorrow how it would play out but I'm going to bet my money on USA.

I've noticed that most of your uploads are from the Thailand leg of the WGP, anyway, do you have the match between Italy and Puerto Rico? Wherein Picci played as the libero?

Hugh is a very good coach..... I remember 2006 when US Men were struggling in every league in then peaked during the World League 2008 just months before winning the Gold in the Olympics... I sense the same pattern here for the US Women NT.
Anyway, I cheered a lot for the US but they came up short yet there's still a lot of promising display of athleticisms shown in their game against Poland. I am getting excited for round 2. This WGP 2010 is a lot better compare to last year. I am loving it.

Poland is hot right now.....
Hope USA will take the 4th set.... they committed a lot of bad passes so they need to work on that in the 4th set.... the US setter needs to use her middle a bit more. Hodge is a bit cold right now.
