Btw now most of them should find a new team, I read somewhere Brussa and Harmotto might go to Turkey. Urbino might be the new team of Croce, while Conegliano might sign some other players. No idea on what Aguero will be doing, especially since these players can't play European competitions (I reckon).

I guess Faucette has some physical problems, otherwise it would make no sense at all to leave her out. She is the only one that, at the present time, can kill a ball among Busto attackers.
Kozuch is doing pretty bad from the beginning of the year (and for years now), she can only do better. But as of now she is the real weak point of the team.

Btw Galatasaray is a strong team, they are not even that bad at receiving (probably without Molnar they are much worse), and they have 2 great attackers.

Yes! Great set by Villa, Klineman is a key player but she has to improve reception a lot, even more since Villa's libero is now Parrocchiale and not Cardullo.

Btw great set by Garzaro and Folie,, plus Viganò was superb giving stability to the reception and being very good in attacking as well.

Well Folie is playing because she definitely is the best blocker of the team...

Much better from Villa now, but on 14-13 the attack was clearly in.

If the play well, Rabita is just too strong. Montano is just illegal, it is almost impossible to stop her.

Hopefully Villa will do better in the next sets. they can; but Rabita is really strong when serving and receiving well.

I saw Giaveno-Busto, and it obviously wasn't a great match. I mean it is the beginning of the season, and there were some troubles on court.
Btw both teams tried their best, and the level of defense was quite impressive on both sides I have to say. Obviously the objectives are very different, and both teams were missing 1 key player (Lloyd and Engle, which played only parts of the match). I was expecting a little more from Murrey, which I had never seen before; she is more solid in reception and defense than some fellow players (Faucette, Klineman) but has a lot to work on spiking. As Usafan said, Bauer/Arrighetti vs Kauffeld/Dall'Ora obviously made a lot of difference, but Pincerato should use middles a lot better.

On Giaveno's side I liked Molinengo (L) a lot, she was great in defence. And Grotheus is such a great player, even though sometimes she exaggerates with her shot variety.
Yamamay: Arrighetti was terrific, the only one that kept going when the team was struggling; and in the second half of the match Faucette was unstoppable and Caracuta was really accurate and clever.

Not meant to be a complaint, but who do you guys think pools are made?
So far Italy has played against Brazil twice, Usa, Serbia and Poland. I mean it doesn't seem really fair. I don't think our team cared so much of getting to the Final6 or 8 whatever it is...but I guess they should just elect a certain number of seeds and then move things from there.
Japan, China have played mostly ridiculous matches so far...

vyz, don't want to seem desrespectful...but which are the high level Azeri players? I would say Mammadova, Rahimova, Parkhomenko and Korotenko only...it's not like there is a ton of them.

And I would add that it works like that with most of the teams against Cuba. I really love watching them play and I strongly believe they would easily be among the top 4, 5 teams in the world. They are just phisically superior to everyone.
But they need badly someone that can work on their attitudes and obviously on reception and defence, which is obviously a big issue in today's volleyball.

As if Larson, Bown, Borisenko and co weren't good attackers...

Wow...It will definitely be a great team, even if again too many players will just stay there in bench for the whole season....As long as it is fine for them, no worries for us.
By the way, question for you Ilgar: So with Montano and Starovic as opposites, I would say Havlickova definitely won't play in Rabita, right?
I thought she left Busto to go there, and I am wondering where she will end up now...

I kinda want to wait and see what the official news will be, but really guys it doesn't make sense at all to have all those players.
I mean, incredible teams, but you could achieve your goals even spending some xxxk dollars less

Can you guys please update me on the situation in Azeri League and teams? What is official so far for Azerrail and Rabita? I don't remember much from the other teams, either, but I guess they haven't done much so far.

Ahah where did you read that? Agree with you it would be difficult now, even though most of the teams in Italy right now have signed almost no players at all.

Not really true..What was said is that Yamamay's sponsorship will be reduced, but they are negotiating with different firms to find a co-sponsor to have the right amount of money to compete both in Italian League and IECL.
That doesn't mean Havelkova and someone else won't leave, but Busto should still have a team.
Btw, Busto Arsizio never invested so much, but they built their team step by step with the right amount of resources.
